We visited this place twice in 3 days. I wish I could give a 5 star review for service because the first day was the best service ever. They brought water and a treat for my dog outside and my gluten free bun was falling apart and they made me a protein style one. Which I appreciate so so so much. The second day we went back. We were ordering up front I told the girl gluten free but can I still have my burger protein style but prepped gluten free. Her entire demeanor changed. She did not put gluten free note under my burger as I asked. So for ppl that don't know. When you have celiac disease (which I do have) gluten makes your body attack your stomach lining. Some ppl are sensitive to gluten. For me it can be life or dealth. It causes us to get super sick plus it's eating our stomach lining away. So cross contamination is a huge deal. We only ate here because of the gluten free options. Mind you I don't eat out ANYWHERE. So I was beyond excited about this. When I got my food my fries were in a bag labeled gluten free but my burger was in the other bag w the regular burgers my boys ordered. I would definitely felt more comfortable w my meal separate like my fries. I wasn't going to write this review but my husband got in the car and said " I feel so bad for you because ppl treat you so differently when you say gluten free." And maybe me writing this can help change that for us who can't eat anywhere and give places like this a shot. Thank you to everyone who served us the first day was the best experience. Pls train ppl to understand why we order the way we do pls. We will definitely still be back next time we...
Read moreWe were here Memorial weekend on vacation. We saw this place and thought we would give it a try. They're were 8 of us and one of the burgers ordered was not correct. When my friend approached the lady at the counter, to let her know she started screaming at her telling her that she would refund her money and that it was her fault, that was what she ordered. She then told her, "I'm giving you a refund and I want you to leave." Mind you the four children with us were already eating. We asked our waitress who she was and she told us that she was the owner. Me and my husband were not even comfortable at this point to eat ours. My husband then approached her to tell her that we were very uncomfortable and in disbelief with the way she responded. Her son then came out yelling at us, refusing to refund us stating every burger that's returned he needs to sell 4 more to make up for it. He then continued to insult us and that he didn't want our business. Still not refunding our money for our uneaten meals. My best friend has a house in Big Bear that she rents out and I was telling her, and she couldn't believe that a business owner would even act Iike that, especially since almost every business in Big Bear thrives on the tourist. She will definitely be letting others know not to visit this burger place. She said that B.J.'s burgers on Big Bear Blvd. Is so much better and friendly! I'm sure others have had an experience like this because they seemed real comfortable yelling at us. Take your business elsewhere, there are so many other deserving business...
Read moreNice little spot with lots of character. The wall murals have lots of neat little details. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We arrived during the Sunday late afternoon rush (about 3:30 and they close at 5pm on Sundays) and they let us know there would be a 30-45 minute wait. We figured we'd give it a try, and it was definitely worth it!
My vanilla shake was ready in about 5 minutes and the rest of our food was ready in 25-30 minutes. The shake was wonderful, real ice cream with a good vanilla flavor. It was so good I had to share it with my wife and son. Recommend getting the large if you decide to share!
The food was very good. The "leading man" cheeseburger had a nicely seasoned and cooked patty with what tasted like a nice sharp cheddar melted beautifully on top. Their special sauce blended well with the rest of the seasonings and the tomato slice was fresh and of just the right thickness for the burger.
My son said the hotdog was the best he's had since some amazing hotdogs we had in Chicago last summer. I had a bite and agree they are delicious. Nice smoky taste with good seasonings.
My wife said the BLT was "very good". It was all gone before I could finagle a bite which seems pretty good proof!
The onion rings were great as well with the onion still being soft and juicy while the breading had a nice crunch but didn't just break off all over.
All in all the whole family agreed it was a wonderful meal in a great little burger joint! We'll be stopping at Get the Burger again when next we go...
