Lost in the Woods Art Gallery — Attraction in Big Bear Lake

A few weeks ago I started my third and fourth project with Beth, the art instructor at Lost in the Woods art gallery. I drove from the Palm Springs area specifically to have her as my instructor. She's incredible and so inspiring. I took oil classes from her last year when I lived up there for 5 months, and also I did a beautiful acrylic with a pallet knife for the first time. She's exceptionally patient and thorough with her guidance and most of all, fun. This time I did an acrylic abstract, which I was scared to death to do...lol. The next day I did an oil pastel desertscape, which I fell in love with. I have such a long way to go, but I have learned so much from her, and she gives me the confidence to go out on my own and to keep practicing and trying. I think she's an incredible artist and I'm honored to be able to take classes from her and pick her brain... I've had other art instructors, and I must say, Beth is my favorite. This was an absolute wonderful experience!! My sister and I are visiting from San Diego with our daughters ages 6, 5, and 2. We did a private lesson and Beth was fabulous!! She total catered to our young girls and was the best teacher!! She's so patient, kind, and talented in her own artistic abilities. She's very knowledgeable about everything art and always has cool tips and tricks that helped our girls explore different ways of creating their canvases. Her paint studio was amazing and was fully stocked. This experience was one of the highlights of my trip and I can't wait to get home and hang all our canvases up in the house!!!! This is by far THE BEST art gallery/store in the city of big bear. The customer service is beyond amazing. The owner Elizabeth was a dream to work with. Not to mention the insane quality of the supplies and the attention to detail she pays when teaching in her one on one or group sessions.

I’ve been there by myself and with a group of friends and she never disappoints! This experience has definitely become a staple in my big bear travel do’s and I can’t wait for my 3 year old to take her art class with Elizabeth this week!
