404 Cafe and Creamery — Restaurant in Big Stone Gap

I live about an hour away from Big Stone Gap. I brought something to a friend of mine at Fringe. She mentioned this place to me. This town is so heckin’ cute. I loved the Boone NC vibe, and the mountains. . . 😍. After we ate, we stopped by the creamery for dessert. There was homemade cheesecake ice cream. My daughter LOVES cheesecake ice cream. I mentioned that I would love to take some home to her, but I didn’t think it would last an hour. A man there put the ice cream in a styrofoam cup, then put that cup on another styrofoam cup. And then he filled up an ice cream container with ice, and he put the cups down in it. What service! It was perfect when I got it home, and she loved it. Their ice cream is amazing. As you see I roamed the inside of the Cafe and took plenty of pictures while looking into the nooks and crannies and especially the bathroom but I didn't find anything about the price, cleanliness, or piled up. It's extremely clean and newly redesigned from the previous store inside the building. They have several different souvenirs and things made in local stores in town. Kids might not want to stay long but I did see several different types of sweet's and treats. I absolutely love the coffee drink and snacks I left with but I assure you that I will be back to try many more options for coffee and ice cream and other sweet items. Kaylee and Aleace Boomer(I know I spelled that wrong) are the best! I stopped in for the first time this past weekend. The cookies are delicious and coffee great, too. I saw they do lunch specials each day. You need to check out their FB page for the deits on that, because I missed out on their club sammy yesterday. Try it! You won't be disappointed.
