Dollar General — Local services in Big Stone Gap

There's only one person working there that is rude and needs to go and that is the manager. The store is crowded with boxes sitting everywhere. The shelves are always empty but trucks are there all the time delivering. Boxes are always stacked up in the back of the building, all over the front of the store, which makes it hard for us, the customers to shop, and then the manager will not get anything off the carts or out of the boxes to sell it to you unless you are her friend or a man she likes. She treats the employees under her like trash as well. I am surprised that store is able to stay open with her as the manager but I guess when you have friends and family in district management positions, that's how you keep your job. She will eventually run the Big Stone Gap Store into the ground. I used to love that store. Now, I rarely go in there. I drive to the Duffield Store, 14 minutes from my house just to buy dog food. They will sell it to me even if it's on a cart. I have even went to the Dryden store because the Big Stone store had toilet paper still sitting in boxes and the manager would not sell me anything if it wasn't on the shelves. I am starting to think it's because I am black. There was an issue with my online coupons. Same issue another woman had that was in front of me at the register. The manager typed in the discount for her coupons but when I checked out, she told me that I would have to try and fix it through my email. A lot has changed at that store since she became manager. Ok. I have seen stores that do not have all of their product put away but this store takes the cake. You have no room to shop the store is so crowded that two people can not pass down the same isle. They have so many boxes and carts full of product that they have not put away on the shelves. This store really needs to get cleaned so that people can shop for things they need from that store. I looks worse than my 2 yr old's bedroom full of toys. At least I can get around in that room. But, come on no wonder people are going to other stores and not the Dollar General in Big Stone Gap. This store needs all new management and employees! I watched the manager and an employee make fun of customers the other day as soon as they left the store laughing about them and making fun. It’s always a cluttered mess, rude rude employees that act like it’s such a hassle to check you out.
