Picture it. It's your birthday, you go to a Chinese buffet every year on your birthday. New place, new buffet. Walk in calm entry. Sit down "your server will be with you shortly". Are the seats wet with bleach? I sure hope not, but it sure smells like it. 10 minutes goes by, I guess we will just head to the buffet. Steam table of about 12 or so items. The rice will be my base, it looks old and dry. The only meat choice that looks appealing is Mongolian beef. Move on to the egg rolls and crab rangoon. I've never seen egg rolls and crab Rangoon this small. We ate our first plate and still no wait staff, to receive our drinks. Side note; the tables next to our was where all the dirty dishes have been placed. Looking around we have very little food and two completely covered booths of plates and glasses. I have never been to a buffet with this poor service and selection. When I asked a server if there was more food coming his reply was what do you want? How about a full buffet. Where is the food? At that point I saw a server cleaning one of the booths of dishes and asked her to take our plates we were done since they don't have any food. When we went to leave an elderly woman asked that same server if there were any egg rolls and his reply "I guess I'll tell them that too." Absolutely horrible experience. I hope you all have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a to-go dinner on the phone, and arrived 15 minutes later for pick up. The lady at the front counter was frazzled but polite. I received my dinner and left. It was a single combination dinner. It contained "chicken subgum chow mein", "sweet and sour pork", "egg fried rice" and my chosen entree. I used all those quote marks for a reason. I've not only eaten at dozens of Chinese restaurants in my life, across several states, but have an aunt from Beijing. And I have to say this place? was singular in its offerings. My aunt once said that American Chinese will often tailor their food to what the locals prefer. I can't imagine those who live in Billings are this horrendous in their taste in food. But... The chow mein was one small piece of boiled chicken, a couple of carrots and the rest was celery and a few onions, topped with pieces of fried wonton wrappers. No noodles to be seen. No flavor at all. The egg fried rice contained no eggs whatsoever. Actually there was nothing in this rice except some soy sauce and let's call it fried. The sweet and sour pork was so heavily breaded I haven't a clue if what I ate was pork, but there was no pineapple, no peppers, nothing. Just some fried pork and a side of sauce. Frankly, Panda is a better choice. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe buffet only has certain hours, we were there close to the "end" of the hours and they told us it was done and that we would have to order from their menu. We chose something off the menu for MORE MONEY than the buffet would have been (not to mention the buffet would have had many choices as well as fresh fruit and dessert). As we sat waiting for our food, we watched them take down the buffet with many of the items we would have liked to have had. They brought us our food and one of the entries was so hard, you could not get your fork through it. It was supposed to be Orange Chicken. We told them and they replied that is how that dish is served. Another dish was so unappealing, it did not get eaten. Another dish was supposed to be Kung Pao Chicken, and it was mainly celery and peanuts with no spice. Needless to say, we left hungry and I will never go back. They are high priced and the food leaves MUCH to be desired. I would NOT recommend this unless you want to waste money and time and still want to be hungry when you leave. I would have liked to have given NO STARS but you have...
