Softies — Restaurant in Billings

For the first time in many years we had a horrible experience! I took my younger to 11 and 14. Old enough to know exactly what they want. My 14 year old ordered a small peanut butter shake. We stated to walk home and she said mom this is blueberry. We went back thinking it would be no big deal softies would make it right. But no. The young lady wanted to argue with my 14 year old that she ordered blueberry. Well I was there and heard what she ordered I paid for it. So instead of just saying sorry for the mistake and making her another. I finally said just give us a return and it will be the last time I come. When I went back to ask for a name and number of a owner or supervisor I was told their was no way they would give me one. And also that they had offered to remake it. They never actually did or this would have never been a issue at all. Rude Service by employees and management. I have been coming to this establishment every other day (when they’re open) for 2 years. Recently the management decided to hire a new crew which is completely incompetent and also asked that the sizes of the cones be cut in half. You used to get a nice big ice cream cone if you ordered a large cone. Now you get like a DQ size medium for your $4.00. I can get a Ben & Jerry’s Pint for less than that and not have to deal with the “New Crew” and the insincere, cheap, rude, and usually never present “management. Stay away the ice cream is good but for the prices they charge and the way they treat the “regulars” let alone your “Average Joe”, I’d stay away. I used to love it but have been treated badly so many times in recent weeks I felt a need to warn others that this is no longer the same “Softies” we all knew and loved. Ditch dairy queen, and go here. This road side ice cream shop is the kind of stuff america was founded on. Providing simple and delicious frozen treats this walk up stand leaves you feeling reminiscent of the carnival as a Childe boasting items such as "blitzes" which are essentially a fresh not as processed, better quality version of a blizzard, soft-serve with carnival style drizzle of flavors, and the classic dip.
