My recent visit to Sonic Drive-In was nothing short of a disappointing and unsanitary ordeal. The entire experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, quite literally, as the food served was not just subpar but outright spoiled and expired. Upon receiving my order, the first red flag was the ice cream—what was meant to be a delightful treat turned out to be a sorry mess. The ice cream had an off-putting appearance with smears of what seemed like chocolate flavoring but resembled more of dirt around the cup. It was not just unappetizing; it was concerning. Ice cream is a staple dessert, and to find it in such a state was alarming, to say the least. The rest of the meal did not fare any better. The presentation of the food items was sloppy, with little attention paid to cleanliness or quality. It was as if the staff had haphazardly thrown the items together without any regard for presentation or, more importantly, food safety. The overall ambiance of the place was messy and disorganized, which only added to the unpleasant experience. It's disappointing to see a restaurant neglecting such crucial aspects of food service, especially in times when health and safety should be top priorities. As a customer, I expect establishments like Sonic Drive-In to uphold basic standards of hygiene and quality. It is not just about the inconvenience of a bad meal; it's about the potential health risks posed by serving expired and spoiled food. In conclusion, my visit to Sonic Drive-In was marred by the dismal quality of the food, the unappetizing presentation, and the overall lack of concern for basic hygiene standards. I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate steps to rectify these issues and prioritizes the health and safety of its patrons moving forward.

I deliver food for Uber. I’m able to make bonuses by achieving what they call “gold status”. It’s graded by having timely deliveries and a 90% acceptance of deliveries offered to me. So, with over 10% of my deliveries being for Sonic, I cannot decline the delivery offers. I am forced to take them in order to keep a minimum 90% acceptance rate. But I can still lose due to timeliness of delivery. Sonic is at minimum 5 times slower than any other fast food place. For instance, tonight, I accepted two orders. I arrived at sonic at 11pm. It is now 12:00 am and I haven’t seen either order, or had any kind of update as to what is going on. They are now officially closed and I’m still waiting. Achieving this “gold status” with Uber makes me on average an extra $2 per delivery. I do 8-10 deliveries in the evenings, 7 days a week. At 8 deliveries a day with an extra $2 per delivery that’s $112 per week. Or, $485 per month that I’m losing out on due to poor management and lack of training.i have NEVER been able to deliver a single Sonic delivery on time. One order was only 2 drinks and it still took 30 minutes to get them out to me! Two drinks! There were only 3 cars in stalls ordering food and the drive through was average traffic. It’s infuriating to have a business cost me on average of $485 per month. That doesn’t even count the deliveries I miss out on getting because I’m sitting here. In an hours time I do on average of 2-3 deliveries at an average of $7 per delivery. So, that’s another $14 per night of orders I miss out on. Which equals another $425 in lost revenue. To top it off. This last order was just brought out to me at 12:08. It consisted of 5 drinks!! 5 drinks take 1 hour to make??!!

I’ve given Sonic a chance three different times since April of this year. Each time, it is a horrible disappointment. Milkshakes are frozen solid, and they resemble more of Wendy’s “frosty” than a true shake. The burgers are slopped together by people that can’t even count the two patties on a double cheeseburger. How can you forget patties on burgers THREE different times? This time around, they forgot a patty and were completely confused to why I was complaining. They then asked what I wanted them to do. I’d like what I paid for, for starters. On top of forgetting basic food assembly, the food tastes so bad. We decided to get some chili cheese tots. One would have more enjoyment from eating Chef Boyardee out of the can with a fork rather than trying to eat whatever that was.. are you for real? You are claiming to offer people food, but this is not edible. You are taking people’s money and you don’t care what you’re giving them. Does the staff know that you are suppose to clean the kitchen equipment? Are dates being monitored so that food isn’t spoiled? Why are you in the food business when you do not care about the foundation of it?

I actually wasn’t even here for myself, I was doing a door dash order, but had an awful experience and won’t be back.

I got to the store Sunday night around 11:15 PM. I was supposed to be picking up two orders. The first one came out a little slow, but not a big deal. The second however took forever and I didn’t even end up getting it.

When I first arrived the manager, I assume, came out and explained to me that there was an error on the order when it came through and they couldn’t see what was actually on the order. He took a picture of my phone and said he would get the order started.

About 15 minutes goes by and a girl comes out with the first order. I ask her how much longer she thought the other order would be. She said it would be about 10 minutes. I asked her what the hold up was and she said that she had to call door dash to figure out what the order was before they could start it. I explained that the guy had already taken a picture of the order and that it wasn’t necessary. She said that they were short staffed and that’s why it was taking so long. I pointed out that they had been able to serve everyone in the drive thru line, which was almost out onto the highway, while I had been sitting there waiting. She turned and said, “you can always leave”.

My blood was boiling. Not only have I never gotten such a rude response from anyone in a customer service position in my life, I’ve worked in customer service position through out my life. But on top of that, it’s not like I was just being inconvenienced, it was costing me money. Between the amount of time I sat there waiting and the lost tip since I never ended up receiving the order, it ended up costing me well over $25.

Never the less, I continued to wait. Because if I had left like the girl suggested I wouldn’t be compensated for all that wasted time, of course unknowing that I was never actually going to receive my order. I waited over 10 minutes since that was the amount of time the girl told me the popcorn chicken still needed. Again it’s not ready, so now I go inside to see what is happening. No one answered any questions and they told me I had to go outside. I did and the manager came out to talk to me again. On a side note, the state of the kitchen when I saw it was absolutely disgusting, and I have been making sure to tell people about it, and discourage them from spending money at this location.

He started to explain to me how they were short staffed and that’s why that happened. First of all, in my actual job I also have had trouble getting enough staff, so I do know how it is. But they didn’t get through everyone else’s orders and wait to put my popcorn chicken in at the end because they were short staffed. They managed to get everyone elses’s order out, so it’s not that they were short staffed, it’s that they forgot about it he ordering, and instead of just apologizing and admitting their mistake they proceeded to argue with me and tell me how they apparently don’t want my business. It’s a very interesting business model, and one that I am more than happy to oblige them on. Not only will I not pick up anymore door dash orders from sonic, but I also won’t be personally spending money at that sonic anymore, which I did go to frequently. They also lost business that night because even after I waited another 5 minutes it still didn’t come out, and it was 11:55 and they were closing and my shift was ending so I had to leave and get the other order that they had given to me 25 minutes prior to the customer, although extremely...

Have you ever had one of those days where you thought to yourself, "Boy my day hasn't been bad enough so I should do something to make it worse." Well if you have felt that way this Sonic is the place to go. You're almost guaranteed to wait an absurd amount of time for them to even answer the intercom after you pushed the red button.

Once they answer (if they answer) you'll be greeted by an intercom that sounds like a white noise machine is beating the heck out of a family of racoons and the raccoons are losing, a volume so loud starbucks across the street knows what you're ordering, or so low you think you've gone deaf.

Next you'll request something and through a muffled speaker you either hear them say they don't have it, have you repeat is so many time you're all but certain they are hinting you should pick something else, or what I can only explain as a sound I'd compare to the horrific cries of Chewbacca combing out dingle berries while holding a megaphone.

Now, if all the planets align and the angels kiss you, your order may come out before they close for the night.

Then the food. Oh how the sonic food has went down faster than the stock market over the past couple years. You'll either get really good food or food that taste so bad that even your pets will call the SPCA if you try to feed it to them. No middle ground. It's either very good or something that violates the Geneva Convention.

For the love of all that's Holy never and I mean NEVER expect to see salt or any condiments. They'll find Bigfoot and Nessie playing poker with the Santa before 3 consecutive people get condiments in their bag.

Why do I go there you are probably asking. For which I will refer back to the beginning. I go when my day hasn't fully pushed me to the point thst I hate humanity but...

TL;DR - nothing we ordered was made right nor fresh, cheeseburgers without cheese and random fixings added to non special orders and a kids hotdog meal that wasn't fit for animals.

Easily one of the worst fast food experience I've had. They were not busy yet cars in the drive through were pulling out of line instead of waiting, that should have been my first sign to turn around but I ordered anyways. 3 number 1s, 1 number 3, and a kids hotdog meal. It took 3 separate times of repeating my order for them to get it correct, then a 30 minute wait for our food, again, they were no where close to busy, when we finally got our food, we are missing one drink. Asking for the drink we already paid for, we were treated to eye rolling then had to sit for another 5 minutes for it. Finally, with food in hand, we head home, excited to finally eat after being on the road all day only to find out 1 out of the 4 cheeseburgers was made with the cheese and vegetables that come on them, the other 3 were missing cheese and looks like we got whatever they felt like putting on them because none of them were missing the same things such as one being covered in mayo with 3 pieces of shredded lettuce, one with nothing but a tomato, and one with only pickles and lettuce. None of our food was ordered anywhere like that but that's not the part that was horrifying. The kids meal and I'll repeat that in all caps to make sure you see it. THE KIDS MEAL The hot dog kids meal was completely shriveled and off colored with an odor to it. This part of our meal was so disgusting, I didn't feel right feeding it to the dogs, let a lone my youngest son. There was no way they missed the quality of the hot dog, this means their employees just don't care what food they feed to even their most...
