I'm a big fan of American Deli so when I found out there was a new one opening up fairly close to me I knew I needed to try it.
Yesterday I ordered through the Doordash app and got my usual order I always get from them to see if it would be the same.
Instantly I noticed a weird difference. I ordered the burger and wings combo and noticed it didn't come with fries so I had to order the fries separately. Then I noticed there were no option to order cheese fries or any specialty fries for that matter and I had to request for it to be added.
The burger was not the burger I was use to from other American Deli's. The bun was weird like a wheat bun or something. The burger patty was dry and had no seasoning. It was lacking in a lot of flavor. 5/10
The wings were good I got the honey hot wings and can't complain to much except for the fact the wings were very tiny and had very little meat on them. Flavor was great but with the small size left very little to enjoy. 6.5/10
The cheese fries were okay at best. They weren't seasoned and the cheese had a sour taste not sure what was going on there. 4/10
The lemonade was pretty good just a bit too sweet for me. 7/10

Oh my goodness. I just paid over $60 for 4 10 piece wings meals. When we got home and opened the boxes the wings were tiny and so over cooked there was nothing to eat on them. Very hard and I'm being so serious. You can tell they prescook them then recook them after there ordered. They were so hard that the little meat in them was hard and brown. I could only eat 4 wings because my teeth were hurting so bad I had to stop and take some pain medicine. It killed my appetite. My kids complained at how hard they were and there was no meat to eat. One of my sons only ate the fries bc there's was nothing to eat from the wings. Why would you think it's okay to sell people these dried over fried wings? Some of the wings were smaller than my pinky. I use to love American deli when I are started eating at the location in Homewood but this location is unbelievable. Service was fast and food was what I expected from this food chain; the juice was good too! I had 2 orders a lemon pepper wing and Philly combo with Cajun ranch cheese fries😋🤤and a lemon pepper wing fries hard combo with Cajun cheese fries. I forgot to tell them no mushrooms on the Philly sandwich and they were really nice about remaking it which I appreciated because it was my error im which I did apologize for my mistake.
