The service was extremely slow and the staff was rude. I do believe everyone needs to calm down and they are taking everything to the extreme. I simply got out of my car to take pictures of Sonic, and within 2 minutes of me sitting back in my car waiting for my order I was accosted by, I'm not sure if it was an employee or someone who is here as a patron. He wanted to know why I was taking pictures of people's cars. Well unless his car was parked on the roof or in the sky then I'm not sure why he thought I was taking pictures of cars because all the angles that I have on the pictures are toward the sky or toward a brick wall, etc. All I'm trying to do is just review a place, take some pictures, and go about my business and my day. Usually, I do inform the staff or whoever is working at whatever business I'm reviewing to let them know why I'm taking pictures. Unfortunately, there was no employee around and since it was painfully obvious to anyone else that was in the parking lot as to what I was doing I really didn't see it necessary for me to inform people that I was taking pictures of Sonic. However, if I wanted to take pictures of people's cars and them sitting eating their dinner I am more within my right to do so.. It irritates me that just because I'm a fish out of water in this particular neighborhood, that automatically everyone assumes that I'm doing something underhanded or sneaky or inappropriate. As we all know, all I'm trying to do is shed light on certain businesses that I happen to frequent and enjoy the food. Like my profile says, I give credit where credit is due and I'll tell people like it is. It has been a while since I have been profiled and since I have been felt so alienated when all I'm doing is waiting on my food and trying to help a business. Actually, I'm quite saddened by the occurrence that happened today. Needless to say, if I am to ever eat at Sonic again this location on the Roebuck Parkway will not receive any more of my money. Read moreUpdate 10/2/23 Went by after doing some work at my father in laws. I pulled up there and it was maybe 4 cars. I waited AT LEAST 40 minutes. I heard the girl tell someone she was by herself. I didn't give her a hard time. I felt so sorry for her. The manager, the general manager, somebody should've came to help her. I would've locked the door and went home! She deserves a medal for what she overcame yesterday! I saw u and u deserved better. It's too easy to get a job through a temp service and tolerate that but she did. AND my order was right! Usually it's always wrong. I prayed it was right because I knew it would probably be an hour to get a remake. I had decided if it was wrong I'd just go somewhere else. She did a phenomenal job on her own! Shameful management didn't show up for her. And I was there long enough to have seen if someone came in and no one did.
Update 4/10/23 I'm 50 and disabled and cut my father in laws grass yesterday because he has no one else. Sonic is maybe one of about 3 places to get food between his house and mine. I know not to go by there in the evening because that's the worse service but there was only 5 cars so I tried. I waited for about 20 minutes and then drove off and went all the way to Trussville to get something to eat. For Sonic to be a business that wants tips the service is awful!!! The sandwich is usually made wrong. My wife stopped for me last week and got home and the sandwich was made wrong. Better be glad I like the food! I'll go back to my old rule. Go before 12pm! ONLY!!! Yeah, I ended up at Arby's again!.
Went this morning before everyone else was making lunch. Some employees were outside talking to someone in a SUV. I waited for more than 5 minutes and never had my order taken and there was only about 6 cars and one drove off before me and then I decided to leave. I love Sonic's hamburgers and fries. Read moreI went to this location and order French toast sticks a small fry and two drinks. After waiting 20 minutes I buzzed back in to ask how long my order would take. Myla who was very rude said it would be out in a min. 5 minutes later they brought me out a burrito and a sandwich. The carhop went back inside. I buzzed in again to see how long it would take. The only thing they would tell me was that it was coming then they kept cutting off the connection. I buzzed in again to see if I could get a time frame for my order. They were very rude just saying it’s coming. I finally told them to give me my money back. Since I paid with a card they said it would take 24 to 48 hours to receive my refund. I tried to ask what the issue was but they kept cutting the connection. So I asked for the manager. Keosha comes out talking about the order was canceled since I requested it to be. I said so y’all not going to compensate me for sitting here all this time she says no. So I asked for her manager number. She gave me the wrong number as I had dialed it while she was standing there. She then gives me the right number and Marcus answers the phone. While I’m explaining to him the situation keosha proceeds to try and tell him her side of the story by yelling loud enough for him to hear her and when I asked her who she was talking to said she talking to Marcus. I told her you can’t talk to him on my phone and rolled my window up. Marcus said he would have them bring my food out which she had said was ready but after waiting 10 more minuets I drove off. I tried calling Marcus agin but got no answer. I wish I would have gone to another location because their service was rude and untimely. I should have been paid for sitting up there with them while they do called worked. I would not recommend this location to any friends family or visitors. Save your time and money and just go somewhere else. I highly doubt this situation will be corrected because order starts from the top and as I saw the managers acted just as bad...
