American Deli — Restaurant in Birmingham

The cooks do not wear masks and I have seen them eating while fixing orders without washing their hands. The same cashier has been there the 3 times I gave this location a chance since I don't let one bad experience keep me from eating somewhere. I have given this location a few chances and have been disappointed each time. Each time I have witnessed that same cashier speak rudely to other customers and seems almost irritated that he has to serve customers. 2/3 of the meals I've eaten here have made me sick, both times it was wings. The shrimp fried rice was oddly sweet with a strange texture and the shrimp wasn't the best. Food and drinks are priced high with poor quality. Homewood is definitely a much better location with wonderful customer service. On a more positive note, the beef Philly is worth ordering. If I return this is...

This was my first time and last time coming to location and it wasn’t pleasant at all…I didn’t feel welcomed, there was no greeting, the young man with the long hair , I can not state his nationality, that took my order was very nonchalant and not friendly at all , he called out my order , naming the food that I ordered which I have a ticket number and as I walked to the counter I asked him did he call #175 he then replied “ we don’t do that around here and I said well ok” and i asked him for my drink and he told me to walk down by the drink area and get it instead of handing it to me with my food! Which is bizarre! I won’t be going back because who wants to spend their money where people make you feel unwelcome! For the past couple of days I have tried to call in an order around 8:15. Each time I called, the phone would either ring or have a busy tone as if they took the phone off the hook. I always have great food, but if your hours say you're open until 9 you shouldn't start shutting down at 8:30. I called around 8:15 and never got an answer. I pulled up to the restaurant around 8:45 to place a small order for my husband only to be told they were closed. Apparently, they stop taking call ins at 8:30, but as you can see on my screenshot they really stop taking them around 8 or 8:15. At least tell customers to not call in so our time won't be wasted.
