J Wings — Restaurant in Birmingham

The bartender at J Wings crossplex attitude is garbage. He is rude and has terrible customer service. I asked him to make me one of their house special drinks. I didn't want the fishbowl size because I was only planning to have a drink while waiting on my food. He agreed to make the drink smaller but still tried to charge me the price of the fishbowl size. He then made me wait until he served 3 other customers before coming back to make me this large size drink that I told him upfront I didn't want. I probably would have went ahead and took it if he didn't get all in his feelings. He could have just charged me less for the smaller drink and I would have been satisfied instead of him just ignoring me while I was trying to talk to him about the situation. I even heard the couple sitting next to me say he took it too far and they couldn't believe he was trying to charge the same price for a drink that he made smaller. Terrible customer service on behalf of the bartender. Will definitely turn around and walk out if I see him anywhere near that bar....

The young cashier was very unprofessional. She should not have been on the register...period. Her attitude was awful, which should have been the cue for the food.She did not smile or greet us as we entered.We arrived as soon as J Wings opened so someone should have at least said "good morning". But sadly that didn't happen. We ordered all flats and were told it was too early for all flats. What?! But after receiving my order of hot and garlic parmesan wings with ranch(?)fries, I regretted ordering any thing at all. In most places if you order ranch fries, you receive a 32 ounce drink...nope. But a young man walked in an was GIVEN a 32 ounce cup just for coming in the door! The hot wing sauce (was terrible) is a mixture of ketchup and hot sauce...mostly ketchup. The wigs were large and tough. Needless to say the entire meal went where it belonged, in the trash and I will not...

$3 for a large drink and limited selection with no sweet tea is just absolutely ridiculous. I used to give this place five stars but now I see that it's just a money grab, don't know if I'll ever go back. *3 month follow up..... For $11 I got basically a box of bones, may be able to call them a pigeon wing but definitely not chicken wings. Just completely done with this place and all of their like named places. Used to love this place and it's brand but over the past few months they have just gone downhill at such a rapid rate that I can never justify going back here again. They have menus out that say a 10 piece of wing is $7.99 with no notations whatsoever saying that that has been changed when you ring it up it is a $10.99 after tax and all you get is what seems to be scraps, this place can just go out of business and not sully the area that it's in any longer.
