This place used to be pretty good, though that's been at least 5 years ago. Went in for punch on a Saturday, which costs more that a standard weekday lunch (over $10 per person). It had been at least a year since I'd been and it was incredibly disappointing. Gone was the true sushi they used to make for dinner and weekend buffet. Instead there was nothing but crabstick rolls and pieces of strangely tough tuna and salmon nigiri made with what was clearly not quality fish. The crab rangoons were tough and chewy, rather than crispy. The sesame chicken tasted like gamey dark meat. All friend chicken items were mushy and didn't taste fresh, even though the place was very busy and they'd just brought out "fresh" pans of these items. Their "steak" was tough and flavorless, almost as tough as a flank steak cut. They used to include crab legs on weekend and dinner buffet, but this time they we're nowhere to be found. The dessert bar is the worst. They have a decent selection of ice creams to choose from, but unfortunately the scoopers are left to sit in a cup of slowly flowing water which looked like a cloudy ice cream soup made of germs left from everyone who'd handled it in the past half hour. And after watching people whose hygeen seemed questionable at best suck their fingers while eating and accidentally touch the ice cream while trying to scoop it, leaving the ice cream contaminated, I decided not to have any myself. All of their other deserts were and always have been bland, unappealing, or even downright gross. Coconut macaroons that tsate like sun tan lotion, no bake "cheese cake", frozen pastry cream puffs... Over all the entire buffet has gone down severely in quality, but this is a place that doesn't try to be good. It just makes it's money off people who are more concerned with quantity than quality. And with two buffets and one drink coming up to over $27 after taxes, it's absolutely a rip off. The owners are also scummy people, using immigrant workers who I've arrive together in a van, likely being housed together and underpaid and in exchange for work visas. Can't help but wonder if there is some sort of indeutured serveitude going on here.
Bottom line, this place used to be good food at a good value. It has become nothing more than overpriced trash food and the family of owners are sleezy people who have no concerns if customers aren't satisfied. I will never...
Read moreI have visited this restaurant plenty of times and had no problems, other than the nasty restrooms, and broken booths. Went to this restaurant on yesterday and had the WORST service I have EVER had! First we walked in and the restaurant was very warm, and they had suchi and oysters sitting out on ice. Red flag that something was wrong! My wife and daughter's food was cold and my rice was mushy and hardly any was left on the steam table. I asked them to bring out more. We informed the waitress that my wife's chicken, fish, and shrimp were cold and my daughter's chicken on a stick was cold. The waitress touched the fish and said it was warm. I nicely told her that my wife is pregnant and CAN NOT eat the cold food. We tried to be as nice as we could and she kept telling us that they keep their food at 250 degress and that the food was fine! My wife's food was ICE COLD. She tried to take us back to the steam table to prove to us that the food was warm, and my wife just wanted to leave. We told the cashier and the waitress followed us as if she was about to take us to jail! After the cashier listened to the waitress yell in their language, he says how can you tell the food isn't cold if you didn't eat it! My wife and daughter ate NOTHING, and I had a few bites. I told him that I ate and that I would pay for my food. He quickly rang up my order as if that's all he wanted to hear, that I was paying for something just to get us out of there. They were VERY rude and didn't try to help satisfy us in anyway. WE WILL...
Read moreI do not recommend anyone to ever come to this place honestly. We came in and walked to the woman to seat my fiancé and I, she firstly directed us to the checkout desk to PAY first when the people in front of us was just seated. Didn’t think about it then but as we were eating, I saw people receiving their bills along with Fortune cookies. I then asked my waitress, “why did we have to pay first if others didn’t?” She pretended then to not know any English and directed me to another woman. I presented her the same question, she was hesitant to answer and said “ we have some-“ then said, “ I don’t know how to say this.” I interrupted and said, “ you thought I was going to just leave without paying.” And she said yes and directed me to the front to management which is the same man who cashed me out. I asked him then the same question and he had a dumbfounded face and said “we do have people who just walk out” and I said ,” so u just looked at us and assumed we wasn’t going to too?” Then tried to lie and say he asked me first did I want to pay first or later. Like wow, he really just profiled me as a thief. If you feel some people will leave and not pay, make EVERYONE pay first. Don’t just profile some and not others, because you all have definitely lost my business and...
