Unfortunately this was a total fail for me. Ordered homemade spring rolls, under sea roll, gyoza and green tea bubble tea

Homemade spring rolls have tons of meat, it's more like a small burrito. I prefer mine to be lighter, this is the heaviest spring roll I have ever been served. To me, it was gross. Like a small fried burrito with pulled pork or chicken. Just not for me. Would not order again, would not recommend.

Under the seas roll, looked beautiful, taste not so much. It's too much squished together with a creamy sauce on the top. I've been going to sushi restaurants for years and I had to spit this out. Absolutely beautiful, but toe, between too many textures and the creamy sauce on top, it was just gross. Excessive but not in a good way

Gyoza were very good, very delicate not overly fried or overly heavy

Green tea bubble tea- really, really sweet. Tastes more like a Starbucks dessert type drink. Too sweet for any real green tea flavor to come thru. This was a gift someone sent me as a delivery and I feel bad they paid so much money. The only item I could recommend is the gyoza, fried. The rest was a total disappointment. I was really looking forward to it. The sushi was stunning, but I literally spit out the first bite and threw the rest away. Sad :( will kot order delivery from here again or order in person. Spring rolls really were not spring rolls at all. It was almost like a BBQ roll or something. Disappointed and sad my friend wasted that much money. I've gotten better from average restaurants. I would suggest trying another restaurant if you want lighter foods. I ended up throwing everything away but the gyoza. So almost $40 spent and I'm still hungry and disappointed. I can't remember the last time I actually had to spit out a piece of food because of the...

I grew up in Japan because I'm from a military family and this is some amazing sushi. I'm not sure where these people are coming from with reviews less than five stars. Show me a better sushi restaurant in the area.

I'm used to going to sushi bars in Japan where there's all kinds of variety due to the fish being caught that morning. These chefs are trying to get as many plates from their fish as possible so there's not much per bite of sushi or sashimi. This place? The sashimi slices were a solid half an inch thick for comparative sushi bar prices in Japan. Which means you're getting more food for your dollar.

The fish here is also very high quality. Granted, you can't order 50 types of sushi on rice and as many sashimi bites like in Japan. But this goes for quality over quantity and it really delivers. I've never really had fish melt in my mouth before but there wasn't any chewing happening to my salmon at all.

The miso soup is absolutely on point, something I've seen get mangled by lesser chefs here in Alabama. The atmosphere is very authentic too and I felt like I'd stepped into a restaurant back home. Honestly, I can't remember a time a restaurant made me stop missing my home. It's really super top tier.

Absolute 10/10 5 stars from...

Service was bad waitress messed our order, when confronted with order she argued with us,and only went twice to our table when she get our drink and food order, and when she brought the order out.when we asked for the ticket she went ahead and put her own amount of the tip.we went to pay we let the guy at the register know about the tip,he replied it's because last time you did not give her a tip,my husband and I told him we gave her a cash tip,What made me mad was we were the only Hispanic in the restaurant everybody else were white the waitress went to their table numerous time and she only went to our table twice. The thing is like they say THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT.but not in this situation, I will never go to Sushi Village Crestwood, Irondale Alabama and will not recommend my family, friends oranyone to go eat...

Sushi Village is my go-to spot for sushi in Birmingham! I’ve been coming here for a while, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, the prices are super reasonable (especially the lunch specials and all-you-can-eat option), and the vibe is just right. The owners and staff are some of the nicest people you’ll meet—they really care about their customers and make you feel at home. Yeah, it can get busy sometimes, but that just proves how good it is! Totally worth the wait. On top of the amazing sushi, my wife swears by their miso soup, I can’t get enough of their kani salad, and according to my kids, they have the best bubble tea in Birmingham! If you love sushi and want a place that’s consistently great, affordable, and welcoming, this is it. Can’t recommend it enough!

5 stars - A hidden gem in Birmingham! We had an incredible dining experience at Sushi Village! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waitress, Sharon, went above and beyond—her service was exceptional and her sushi skills were just as impressive! Every roll she recommended was spot-on. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving us the best experience possible. The fish was fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were top-notch. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just curious to try something new, this place is a must-visit. Huge shoutout to Sharon for making our night unforgettable!

I stopped by here after work last week. There was no wait time. Our server got everything to us quickly. Since it was a little chilly in there, the miso soup was a great start. The out of control sushi roll was different in a good way. The mango gave it a clean, sweet taste. The scallop fried rice was good. I wish there were a few more scallops. The sauce seemed to have more lemon flavor than I'm used to, but I liked it. They do have sturdy chopsticks (not the wooden ones normally provided with takeout) and forks for utensils.
