If I could give this place zero stars I would! The worst customer service Iāve received and the food was neither good or even hot!!! Got seated at 8:03, no one came to the table at all until 9, we placed our order for drinks and food, drinks never came! Asked the waitress if we could at least get water, never happened! I ended up going to the bar to get me and my friendās water and I asked to speak to the manager. I was lied to! I was told the manager was not there, but he was! The food came at 10:28, with no bucket, no Bib, no utensils or anything!! We opened our bags and noticed no steam came out, I bit into the corn, it did not taste good and it was cold!!!!! At that point we called the waitress over to let her know weāll be leaving and she then got the manager, which by the way was there the ENTIRE TIME!!!! The manager then came over very rudely and did not apologize, try to compensate or anything, and told us everything is cooked fresh to order. We told him to feel our bags so he could feel it was not fresh. After feeling it wasnāt hot this jerk then rudely said what do you want me to do, warm it up? At that point I told him we wouldāve liked for it to have been fresh and not waited over 2hrs for water I had to go to the bar to get and food that was cold! Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat food. Horrible service. Ordered 1/2 lbs of blue crab and 1/2 lbs of shrimp. Made sure i asked about it being in season as it states on the menu. Also went over my order twice with the server. My order comes and i eat my food. Bill comes and it states i order snow crab which is significantly higher than the blue crab. I talk to the server and says she says she thought i said snow crab instead of blue and then proceeded to say i should have known when she brought it out so she could change it and that i should have known from the picture on the menu (which were pictures of non cooked live crabs ). Mind you the signs on the tables say "no exchanges". Manager comes over and says i ate it so i have to pay for snow crab instead of blue crab after everything was explained because the owner wouldn't understand the situation in which she had to change the pricing because a snow crab was missing even though it was the server's error. Also in the middle of trying to resolve the issue another employee complains to the manager that the new employees won't stop hanging out in the kitchen and help them with a packed house and so she leaves in the middle of our conversation. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've eaten at The Crab Barrack many times, but the last time (3/2/23) I ordered my food to-go. While we were waiting, we went to the restroom and literally all the bathroom stalls, except one was stopped up or just nasty with bile! š„“š¤¢I would have added pictures, but I didn't want to do that to anyone else's stomach. To top it off, one of the staff members (in a black and red Crab Barrack t-shirt) walked out of the one good working stall and straight out of the bathroom door to return to work! 𤮠She didn't even make an attempt to wash her hands. Being that this is against all things sanitary, I reported it to the host (a young-probably teenage guy). His response was..."oh, she doesn't touch people's food." I just looked at him and walked off because I didn't have the energy to explain. Needless to say, I watched her the entire rest of the time to make sure she wasn't going anywhere near the kitchen while my food was being prepared. I'm not sure if I would eat at this location again. I may frequent the one in Irondale, AL moving forward.
