The waitress Yanira ruined my dinner. My two friends and I had just finished a day of snowboarding at Mammoth and were looking for a good place to eat. After telling Yanira I had a dairy allergy she became very short and rude with me. I wanted to order a sandwich and asked if there were any sauces that came on the sandwich. Yanira said that there wasn’t. On the menu it says it comes with spicy mustard, pastrami and pickles (all ok for me), but to cover my bases I asked the question above and trusted her help me with my order. Big mistake. The sandwich came slathered in mayo. I also have an egg allergy that she did not give me enough time to tell her about, and I felt that I was being judged after telling her my first allergy. I let Yanira know I could not eat the sandwich and she aggressively took the plate from in front of me and sent it back to the kitchen. I was going to tell her that I would order something else so that they didn’t have to remake it, but Yanira did not give me the chance. She took the sandwich and didn’t look or speak to me. I tried to let her know that I didn’t want it anymore and she said, “ It’s too late the kitchen is already remaking it.” Then she rushed off. For the rest of the night she would be very nice to my friends at the table and would not look, face or talk to me. I asked to speak with her before I paid the bill. I apologized to her, and asked if I upset her or miscommunicated with her in anyway. To which she replied “What, you want me to apologize?”. We exchanged a few more polite words but I finally realized that there was no getting through to her. I paid for my sandwich that I didn’t want and left. She made me look like a fool in front of my friends I was dining with, judged me for the allergies I was born with and was outright rude for my entire meal. The food on the other hand contrary to Yanira’s embarrassment for waitressing was very good. The wings are some of the best I’ve ever had. I apologize to everyone else at the restaurant, they...
Read moreCalled and immediately was put on hold for ten minutes without a choice. Called back ordered a pizza and wings for delivery. Delivered the wrong pizza then was asked if I touched the pizza that was delivered mistakenly. Was put on hold so they could find my pizza at another delivery location. Told them I didn’t want my pizza if it was delivered to a different location. They sent a driver back to pick up wrongfully delivered pizza from my location. Then asked me if I want my pizza that I ordered. To which I replied no not if someone else had it in their possession. To which the driver said oh yeah right. Called them back and told them I would pick up a fresh pizza from the location. The girl on the phone was very nice during this whole ordeal. She said that she would tell her manager. We talked about a refund she said she would tell her manager again. Drove to the location walked inside. Spoke to the manager he said they messed up my order. He grabbed my pizza sitting on top of the oven in a box. I asked him if it was fresh or was he just keeping it warm on top of the oven. He told me they just got it out. I took the pizza after briefly looking at it and left. I came back in to the restaurant to see if they would refund me the delivery fee to which he gave me three dollars. He had an attitude during this entire process and was carried a rude demeanor. He offered nothing not even a sincere apology . I got the pizza home and it was tough and leathery. Like it had been sitting for a while on top of the oven. I won’t order from them again unfortunately. I don like being lied to and made to seem like I’m the problem for their mistake. Own your mistakes, be courteous and don’t lie to your customers....
Read moreAttention please! I was in Bishop on a Wednesday night when many cafes are closed. I looked through a lot of websites before chosing Upper Crust. Then my GPS sent me to the wrong place. By the time I got t UC I was a bit grumpy. However I was seated promptly and the server was patient, competent, and genuinely pleasant. On her suggestion I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. I was going to have a pizza initially. The last couple of times I have ordered spaghetti and meatballs at other restaurants in other towns, it's not been very good. So .... I really wasn't sure. But the green salad was fresh and good. And then the enormous entree came! Yowza. And it was really, really good! I ate far more than I meant to. I also had a nice glass of Soave. Waitress continued to be super.. I wish I lived here so I could come back more often. I do have friends who RV up this way and im telling them about this place. I really think the owners should make their web presence more in line with the quality of food they serve. Plus excellent staff. Plus nice (and clean) ambience. (Fresh...
