Have been to the speak easy in the past when it was busier - Wednesday night the atmosphere was very intimate and more of an experience than a busy bar. Piper facilitated an adventurous, fun, charming environment with engaging conversation & delicious drinks she created herself and some from the menu she suggested. Truly the most flavorful drinks I have ever tasted! We played chess and chatted over candlelight until closing time at one while the snow fell outside! The decor is older with antique furniture, there are books and games to explore, and the drinks are served in hand selected crystal and glass cups. So nice having a unique spot in Bismarck open late! Wonderful spot to celebrate a special occasion, hang out with friends, or have an evening to yourself. It is wheelchair accessible with an elevator on the lower floor you can take up to the second floor where the hidden door can be found. Thank you again Piper for a memorable anniversary date night! Love the Speakeasy.

Hidden behind a book case, this bar is a homage to a 1920s prohibition Era speakeasy! The atmosphere is historically close as you can enjoy a smaller crowd, comfy antique furniture, and dimmed lighting. The menue is a montage of signature cocktails garenteed to make you feel like you're sneaking around the police and enjoying classic drinks! I highly recommend everyone visit at least once! But be sure to bring your wallet at about $10 a drink! You won't find drinks like these anywhere else!

This was FUN. It took just a little bit of looking to find where we were going, but that's the whole point. It was small, dark, and cozy inside, just like a speakeasy should be. Our server didn't know much about liquor or the drinks, but he wasn't afraid to ask the bartenders for clarification (who where totally great). Our drinks were amazing. I had a Corpse Reviver #2 - my first absinthe drink - and it was spectacular. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Bismarck.

Terrible experience. I would never suggest to anyone to go here. The night of August 2nd 2025, a group of us went to eat and then went to have a drink at the Luft. Many of the guys we were with love the speakeasy and made it a point to include it in our schedule. We get to the entry of the bar and the employee (older guy, big beard, glasses) looked right us and immediately said no and herded us out. We were confused on maybe the bar was full or there was a wait time so we asked why a few times and he said to get out of the building and we were not welcome there. Many of the people we were with do not drink and maintained a very calm and sober demeanor and just asked why and were given no answer. The employee then proceeded to call the police to escort us out. The BPD guys were really great and basically said they are sorry we didn’t get an answer and suggested to just call management to make a complaint or to find the answer then. My husband held his hand up to be like “hey, you guys, let’s just leave” and the employee interpreted that gesture as “a threat” and then really started to yell at us. When we were walking back across the street, the employee was on the rooftop ensuring we left the property. Some of the direct comments he made to my friends were very alarming and incredibly disrespectful. We are still trying to figure out why we had to leave (dress code, too big of a group, anything??). I will never tell anyone from our town to try your place out and would encourage others to never go back there. Bismarck cops were great, and it’s a bummer your employee is an entitled, rude, shallow dude. We were waiting to trade an answer of why we were kicked out in exchange of us leaving and still left without answers. I hope this review is read by staff and I will be waiting for a reply back seeking an apology along with an...

I'm torn; on the one hand, decor and drinks were wonderful. I ordered the "Just a Buzz" which was a fun drink, and enjoyed the over all feel... However, I had heard this bar had a bit of a dress code, which I was rather excited about. In a city filled to over flowing with casual bars, I was looking forward to a different scene... And was met with an ocean of ball caps and jeans, sneakers... You get the idea. Especially when initially turned away because they were full.

If your going to have a dress code, adhere to it, it's part of the overall experience. Half the people there looked like they just left the gym.

I was pleased to see the bar tender in slacks, button up, and suspenders, so kudos to him and his...
