I was treated poorly in this establishment and I would not suggest POC to visit them. I was told that I needed to use another name because someone had just come in with my name. My nickname is Moni so I decided to use my full name which is Monialetha. I filled my cup and went to the front to look for a table. There were kids at the table next to where I sat my drink who I later realized were the owner/workers kids. I went to search for the restroom and when I returned I told the guy on the grill my drink and napkins disappeared while I went to the ladies room. The little girl at the table next to me then said, "oh I didn't know that you were sitting there" and I told her, "That's okay baby". At that moment, I saw a group of males come in to order. I took the new cup and went to fill and sat down. The gentlemen who had just come in and ordered sat down. I watched the lady who had been delivering orders to tables for the next 15min call out the "Monty" and I attempted to ask her if she meant Moni as she was walking past me since I was at the front. She looked at me and kept walking. I then watched her serve one to two other tables plus the group of males that I saw walk in when I had discovered my cup was missing. Once I saw everyone had been served and looking at the time I asked for a refund. The lady serving orders said, "oh, how do you say your name? I was just about to get it." I said, "I came in to grab a burger before my appointment and wanted to eat in peace and go." She said, "oh, you want me to bag it hold on its right here". I said, I came in here with enough time to eat befor a 2pm virtual appointment without shoving my food down my throat, that's okay, I'll take a refund ". I entered the doors of this establishment no later than 1-1:15pm. I left at 1:45-1:55pm. I no longer wanted a burger from them and I'll keep my money in my pocket if ever in the area again. I guess it wasn't enough to be eating alone some people like to single you out even more. All in all, this could have been prevented simply by the cashier acknowledging that she wasn't actively listening, my nickname is MONI not MonTy. And, by not ignoring the only POC besides a young girl studying with her friend group (which she appeared to be of multiple ethnic backgrounds, not unlike myself but maybe I don't appear that way to them) who's patronising your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was never served and watched people come in after me and be served. The worker or owners children were at a table in the front. I sat my drink down at the table next to them and went to the restroom. When I returned I let the guy on the grill know that my drink had been thrown out while I went to the ladies room. The child told me she had thrown it away and said she didn't know that I was sitting there. I told her it's okay. Only to watch people come in as I was sitting down and they sat down after but were served before me. Meaning, I had been there for 15-20 minutes already . Then, I asked the lady who had been passing me with orders she was taking to tables if i could get a refund and she said "oh how do you say your name? I was just getting it. Oh you want it to go? I will bag it." All the while, it was clear that I was attempting to eat my lunch inside the establishment. I think I was not welcomed there and neither was my money. I was the only POC color besides a young girl studying who appeared to be of multiple ethnic backgrounds (not unlike myself, but maybe I don't appear that way to them). Either way, if you're a POC beware.
I had gone there just after 1pm to have a burger before my 2pm virtual appointment. I left there at ¹:45 or just after that, starving. I will keep my money in my pocket if ever in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreScott's Hamburgers seems like a very popular Bixby location. Lots of people were in and out of this family friendly restaurant the entire time we were there. I love the vibes. It's quaint, comfortable, and full of friendly people. The staff is awesome also! We had to change our order from dine in to carry out, last minute, and they were more than accommodating. I'm excited to report that THEY HAVE ORANGE CRUSH!!! You can't even get that in stores nowadays without ordering it online. Who loves orange soda?!
The one thing I will say I wish was different about my experience... The burger was really salty. Now, take this comment with a grain of that salt, I don't use salt at all when I cook. It may just be my taste buds.
The area around the restaurant is lit up with Christmas decor & the street is prepped for night lights and family games. There's a park directly across the street too. It's the perfect spot for a summer sandwich or a winter walk.
The okra is THE BEST!!! Sorry, no pictures. I ate it too quickly....
