We will never know how their donuts taste or what the atmosphere is like. I have heard great things about this establishment and wanted to take the opportunity to try them out. Needing a big order the first time I elected to call first so they could be prepared for the type and quantity of donuts needed. Having to drive 40 minutes I wanted to insure I could get what I needed without compromise. Plus, out of respect for the staff I am most confident that they would want to discuss a pre-order. After calling for a month Monday thru Friday at various times during the day, before opening and after closing hours listed and there was no answer. No answering service or machine. Phone number is absolutely correct. Even reached out on social media accounts with no response. So I posted and joined the account on Facebook, "Everyone Blacksburg" to get some help. Thanks to everyone for the responses by the way. I was informed by several citizens that the business was open, the phone number was correct, and the business hours were correct. I even got pictures from people showing the business was open from the parking lot. So yes, they are alive, and they are open for a fact according to the citizens of Blacksburg. So I am not crazy, the only way of contact is face to face. No phone number. No Social media. As a business owner and it being 2024 why do you not answer the phone? Have a answering service or answering machine? Not attending to your social media accounts which are out dated and inactive for months if not years? So yes, I could drive the 40 minutes to place a order but that is merely not the point. You lack the basics of business by not making yourself available to the public. Please advise the owners or management that they need to hire more staff to adequately run the business or get out of business because your customer service Sucks! Hands down, the best place to buy donuts anywhere. Their donuts are to die for. I'm not sure how many different ways I can say the same thing. They really are delicious. This place is a staple of Blacksburg and a "must experience" if you are in town visiting or just in general if you have a hankering for donuts. Look no farther than Carol Lee. Previously they were more centrally located closer to the college but they've since moved out to North Main just past 7-11, across from the Food Lion grocery store plaza. One thing you must know about this place is that it is a hidden gem of the town. Their donuts are go fast so go early if you're gonna go. They're usually sold out by 12/1 pm. And the earlier you go.the more selection there is to choose from. You just can't get a bad donut from Carol Lee. Service is always great and fast. Parking can on occasion be a little difficult as there's only about 5-6 spots I think, but turnover happens super fast in there so someone's always coming out with their box of treasures ready to head out.
