Municipal Park aka. Caboose Park is a staple for numerous family activities. We go often to the indoor pool, play tennis, soccer in the field or play on the Hand and Hand Playground. The gazebo's are for rent or you can use them if they are not reserved as you wish. There is a skate park and baseball diamond and several sets of swings and slides. This is the spot to watch fireworks on the Fourth of July and the old N&W caboose is the kids favorite to play on. It's usually a first choice for the kids when we ask what they want to do. The reservations are on the town website and you call them to pick a date. Prices are about $30 and you get morning or afternoon blocks. Most have a grill and tables but no power or water. A real treat is the caboose, which is a unique and enjoyable feature for kids to explore. Plus, there are picnic shelters available, making it a great spot for family picnics or just relaxing outdoors.

An older children's park- pretty high and with plenty of things to climb around on. The "hand-in-hand" park- all ages, constructed of mostly wood, with painted handprints on railings. Slides, tunnels, rope and tires leading up down or across a gap, and swings populate this larger park. Twisting, narrow passages and towers rise out of the vast structure.
