Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Blacksburg

Ordered at 3:27pm through GrubHub. The order window on GrubHub was 4:25-4:35pm. No food so I called at 4:35pm and the boy who answered made the excuse that he thought he had extended the delivery time (aka to say it was going to be later) but it was on its way. I ok'd and call ended. Food arrived at 4:50pm. Missing an item. I called back and got the same boy on the phone. Said he forgot to refund the soup, they were out. I asked: so you forgot to extend the delivery time so we'd know it was running late... and then forgot to mark that one of our items were out of stock. You were just going to not do or say anything to us before or when the food was delivered? You guys were just going to let us find out on our own and call you about it? He attempted to defend himself by saying that GrubHub wouldn't let him adjust the order until it was finished (not true, I've worked in a restaurant that uses GrubHub before), got extremely defensive, told me I was the one being rude, refused to give me his name, and then hung up on me.... The food was also cold. There are plenty of other Chinese options in the area. This place used to be the best. I think I'll take my business elsewhere...

As Door dash driver I went to pick up order in this restaurant. Order was big 18 items and food worth more than $150. I asked for the order and the guy pulled a bag from under the counter and hand it to me. The bag was very cold but the food supposed to be hot. All listed food supposed be hot. I questioned him it looks liked ice cold. He said this is what is it also it was not big bag enough. I asked him if all food is there and requested to show me. He ignored and said just deliver it don’t touch it I can’t show you. Then I trust him and picked up. When I was on the way water started to licking.I got so confused what is happening here so I pulled over and try to wrap and tide bag perfectly but I saw there was only water containers only. There was plastic containers with water only. That look like they filled water from sink. Then I reported to doordash. They said they will find out soon . So as driver when you get big order with small amount of fair make sure they gave you actual food not the...

Beware delivery service, you may never get your food and good luck fixing it. My food was never delivered after 2 hours and when I called I spoke with a very nice lady that was going to replace the order and took new delivery notes, but then the owner took the phone from her and rudely complained about losing money and told me to re-order and told me he had just hired a new driver and it is very hard to make money in these times.

I left specific delivery notes describing my house, since I have a shared driveway. The restaurant/driver had no excuse, and the owner's angry attitude and total lack of comprehension for typical customer service standards in the US is appalling. I will never order from here again, and I recommend no one else does, either.

The food was always mediocre, but it wasn't bad. Paying for an order I never got and being told to re-order it tomorrow when they open again is...
