😳🤯 Unacceptable Behavior from Arby’s Management in Blairsville 😡
This afternoon at the Blairsville Arby’s, I experienced something that left me shocked and disappointed. As I was getting out of my car to grab $10.42 that I was short on my bill, the man pictured — the general manager of that Arby’s — honked his horn at me.
To be clear, the entire moment took less than 60 seconds to get the change— my son already had the $10 bill in his hand, and I literally grabbed 42 cents in change from my console and shut the door. That’s when he honked at me. When I raised my arms to see what he needed, he became defensive. When I raised my arms again, he started to get out of his car, acting aggressive and confrontational.
There was defensive behavior on both of our parts in the parking lot, but things escalated when he began being disrespectful because he wanted the parking spot next to my car. that at this point was already free and clear because we were trying to walk into the restaurant. My son stated several times for him not to speak to me that way as he began to get more defensive himself. Yes, my son was also on the extreme defense — and I give him no excuses — but he’s 16 years old, and this was a grown man.
At that point, all three of us were defensive and on edge, so I stepped in to separate the situation that was clearly escalating. We came inside the restaurant to diffuse things, and I explained to the employees what had happened — that the man was still sitting in his car near mine.
From behind the employee counter, he came in and continued to cause a scene, yelling at us in front of customers.
at this point, I never raise my voice, trying to keep things calm. I asked for the general manager’s phone number. He informed me that he was the general manager and refused to provide contact information for anyone above him.
Eventually, he set an email address down on the table in the lobby — right by the entrance — and loudly told us he never wanted to see us there again, once more in front of all the customers.
What’s even more disappointing is that I had just spent $52 on a meal to sit down with my family — a meal I never even got to enjoy. Everyone at our table was so unnerved by what happened. A very kind employee later came up to apologize for her boss’s behavior, saying several times that no one should ever be treated that way in front of so many people.
No parent or child should ever be treated this way — especially by someone in a position of leadership representing a business in our community. Respect, professionalism, and basic decency should...
Read moreWe have been to this location a few times since moving to the area and this has to be the worst Arby’s we have ever been too. The previous time we came here, we went through the drive thru. Took 15 mins waiting at the speaker for the girl to ask us to take our order. We had to repeat what we wanted 3 times. Went around to the window and asked, we thought you may be closing at 7pm. She said, shhhh, don’t tell anyone but we are open until 8pm. Really? So we waited at least another 10 mins to get the order, and then the food was not fresh. So we contacted corporate office and explained our experience. Because of this, they sent us 3 free sandwich coupons on the mail. So we went back to use them. We went inside this time thinking we might get a little better service for free food. Nope. So we placed our order for 2 meals. Waited 15 mins at the counter to get our order. Gave us order without strawberry lemonade I had ordered. The manager guy working behind the counter smarted off and said what you need. I said you forgot to give me my strawberry lemonade. It was on the counter sitting there behind him. He said what lemonade? I said behind you and he said what? Finally looked and he grabbed it and gave to me. Went to our table and realized they forgot to give me my cup of cheddar I ordered. Went back to the counter, told the cashier which then told this manager guy. Waited 25 mins at the counter patiently with other customers and airing for orders just to get a cup of cheddar. I finally asked the guy, excuse me, he says yea, I asked can I please get a cup of cheddar I ordered, I’ve been waiting 20 mins for this. He then replied, you can have all the cheddar you want. He fixed it and tben finally gives it to me along with a danish. But while waiting, another lady had ordered online waiting for at least 20 mins to get her order and then she complained about not having everything. He says, It’s all there. She said no it’s not. He then starts taking everything out the bag and slams her sandwich on the counter and she asked, why are you doing that. What are you doing. Well he then tells her to leave and don’t come back. What?! She started fussing at home cussing and he tells her, F you! Get out now and leave. This is a manager or the store telling this customer this. So NO, I will NEVER go back to this location again. I’ll drive to the next town over in Blue Ridge or...
Read moreWhat a disappointment. They close at 6, which isn't terrible but rather inconvenient. So, I ordered online for a 5:30 pick up hoping this would facilitate speedy and convenient service... The lobby was closed so I had to sit in line at the drive thru (which was wrapped around the building) for almost 20 minutes. When my turn arrived I was asked to hold which took another 5 minutes. Then I was greeted and promptly informed that they were out of roast beef. What!?! How can they run out of their main entree component? I thought "Man, am I glad I placed an order online which should have already been prepared and waiting for me! It's probably cold but at least I'll get my order" I informed the employee of my online order and gave my name. Then, it happened. I was told that the order was not complete due to the meat shortage issue. My options were: pick different sandwiches to replace the ones I requested or cancel the order. I instructed the employee to cancel my order. I was then told that they could not cancel the order, I had to but I was looking at my order confirmation online and the email. There was not an option to cancel and my card had already been charged. I was not about to give them my money without something to show for it. So I picked two replacement sandwiches (Brisket and Ruben). I then had to wait for the order to be completed. When I arrived home, less than 5 minutes after receiving my order, everything was cold. The brisket was more than half fat, not cut against the grain, and there were only a few lousy slices. The Ruben had so little meat that we removed one slice of bread, folded over the remaining slice, and cut the now half sandwich in half to essentially give each of us a quarter. The whole experience was disappointing. I gave two stars because while the employee didn't really act as if she cared, she wasn't rude. Just indifferent with...
