Pepe's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Bloom Township

Went to Pepe’s tonight because I haven’t been in a while and I also wanted to treat a friend for a late birthday dinner. The waiter messed up my order and gave me a meal instead of just he burrito. I informed him of his mishap he said okay and he’ll change it on the bill. Bill comes and the meal price is on the order; so I inform him of that and he takes it off... Okay Cool so I thought. Next on the bill I see a charge of .50 for Margarita flavors; so I ask them when did they start charging for flavors and they told me it’s always been like that. FIRST off they lied because I was just there last month and the charges for flavors was not on my bill. Now I do not have a problem paying the extra .50 cent but it’s just like be honest and let you guest know this just took place x, y and z and it is what it is. However, to tell me that it has always been like that and I have faithfully gone to Pepe’s in different locations including this one and never seen that charge is an insult to intelligence. The waiter didn’t check on us at all! He gave us our food and disappeared into the kitchen. I had to ask another waiter to grab our waiter for us so we can pay the bill and leave at that. Food was great, Service is where I had a problem , One- didn’t know who was our server, Two -there was a female and a male that was all over the place serving people, but come to find out the male was our server he didn’t come to the table to see how we was doing till at the end of us eating I called him over to get a refill key word I called him over after being in there all that time , next I ask for the check in which again I had to call him out loud because he was maying like he did hear me ,after asking for the check I calling him to let him know of a coupon I had in which he came and got it but didn’t take anything off the bill so when I got to counter to pay the bill I said he forgot to apply the coupon she looking around saying no I can’t use it am like wait why, so then I see that it’s for if you are order off the lunch menu cool , but my thing is he didn't explain any of it he took the coupon put it on the counter and walk off how rude was that I notice he was rude the few times that i had call him over , I like this location never had a problem before and hope to never have it again. Owner talk with your staff giving great customer service to everyone thanks a somewhat unhappy customer with the service...

Had dinner husband and I on Saturday, July 10, 2021. The food was good and the Waitress Becky brought me my Miami Vice. After drinking it she wanted me to sample some drink she made for me with banana and peach syrup, My husband ordered a rice water that was disgusting twice they tried to make it unsuccessfully. We gave a 25 percent tip, When I arrived home my stomach was exploding, Diarrhea like total water all night, I felt horrible. Evidently, the special drink Becky made me had me sick or the food was spoiled. Anyhow, I will never ever frequent this Establishment again, PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.. I was so sick and just now feeling a little better. I called and asked to speak to Becky and they told me yes, she was there and hung up on me. I called back, and they told me she was not there and did not have a set schedule. UNBELIEVABLE.
