Excellent food and impeccable service! We started out with the Gorgonzola garlic bread which was light, crispy and the cheese was not overpowering. The marinara that was served with it was light as well and made for an excellent garnish. Big serving for 10$. The roasted beet salad with a large disc if goat cheese was excellent as well. Good size for the cost. The dressing was light and tasty. I had the chicken parmagian which was huge. It was a split chicken breast pan fried with just the right amount of breading, still retaining the crispy outside. I know some people like thin chicken cutlets. This was not. I Personally like bigger cutlets and that's what this was. Easily two meals. The fresh mozzarella in top was excellent as well. It came with a small bowl of ziti and marinara. My mom had the eggplant parmagian which was paper thin and tasty. Not the best eggplant I've ever had but very good. It did have the skin on which I'm not a fan of. Waitress/hostess who took my order was friendly. They were quick to bring the food out and everything was correct.
Upon inspection: Penne, cooked well, in red sauce not vodka sauce. Barely enough sauce to cover the pasta with 4 overcooked shrimp that were inedible. Chicken parm was tender and looked like the chef forgot it in the oven for a bit too long. There were a lot of burnt spots on the top but overall was the best part of the meal. Polenta has great potential. Consistently was awesome. However it was overloaded with parmesan cheese.(which normally we would be thrilled about) We could only get through a few spoonfuls. Brussels were perfectly cooked just WAY over salted to the point of making me nauseous after starting to ingest them.
With COVID there are not too many options and we had high hopes Carbone’s with its great reviews! Maybe they were just having an off night? We probably won’t...

She was nice but not really personable which isn’t a big deal. I ordered 2 drinks CK Punch and Raspberry Margarita which was fantastic! Very strong and delicious drinks. I then got two appetizers crab egg rolls and calamari, both dishes were fantastic and packed with flavor. My entrees weren’t so great I got the Fao Island Salmon which was super salty and not cooked to the temperature I had asked. I also got the sirloin crusted Gorgonzola, nothing about this sirloin was crusted and it lacked flavor, the mashed potato’s it comes with were very creamy but also lacked flavor.
