I have been a customer of Jeb's Bread at the Montclair Farmer's Market for a while now. The breads are very good. The prices are high, but the quality is such that I will pay them. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience today. Besides a loaf of sourdough bread, I purchased 2 pastries. (For 2 pastries plus the loaf of bread, the total was $25!) The person who filled my order jammed both pastries in one small brown bag. When I got home I found that the chocolate croissant was smashed. Iwas embarassed to serve this to anyone. To add insult to injury, the almond croissant had very little filling. For the top prices they charge, I expect better. Unfortunately, their web site does not give any way to contact them, to report one's feedback. So, going forward I will no longer give them my patronage. When I worked in restaurants in the city we used Sullivan street bakery but no offense to Sullivan street, Jed’s is x100000 times better. Everything is perfection. The semolina is next level phenomenal. Ciabatta is absolute perfection. The cinnamon roll (which is vegan by the way)- I have no words for. Read moreI try to stop by Jed’s stand at the Montclair farmers market every week because they are THAT good. Their focaccia is such a delicious treat and they have so many options to choose from. Their country loaf is a staple in our house as well as their ciabatta. Let’s not forget their VEGAN cinnamon buns that are out of this world. Do you know how hard it is to find a vegan cinnamon roll?
