I spent the day with my grandson today and he wanted to go to this McDonald's because he'd been to this McDonald's for years before covid. In those days an elderly gentleman used to mop the floors and do the janitorial services. I called him Poppy I would slip a 10-dollar note into his hand as I left or around Christmas or twenty-dollar note. So today I took my grandson to this McDonald's so he could use playscape. He was excited. We get out of car walk towards the door just ahead of my grandson was a Hispanic employee she opened the door just enough to let herself in aren't allowed the door to close in my 7 year old grandsons face. I spoke to her I said miss you know we're behind you. She ignored me proceeded to go through the second door which she opened just enough to get through and allowed it to close in my grandsons face once more. I noticed that there is about one black employee at this McDonald's the rest are hispanics. Hispanics are notorious for being rude and disrespectful to black people. I'll never go back here again and I do hope this McDonald's closes like the one in West Hartford. The lady who was rude to me and my grandson mopped the floors she was did janitor. She thought she was being funny she walked into the back room up to a white woman and a child and started saying hola and speaking to them in Spanish she thought she was being funny. But it's okay I typically advocate for service workers because I know that their jobs are hard and they're under paid but when you find people like this it is disgusting and disrespectful. She did what she did only because she thought she could get away with it.. I'm lodging this complaint because I guarantee she's going...
Read moreI now see that this Mc Donald's is very discriminatory. There is a high volume of Hispanic workers who seem to have a great deal of disrespect for their African American customers. They also seem to give their few African American workers the worst hours (weekends and nites), while the Hispanics work 9-5, Monday to Friday. I'm surprised they haven't been sued for discrimination. They won't bring your food if you order through the kiosk but they will gladly bring to white people. They don't want to put out table tents so they don't have to bring your food to you. If you have a table tents and you're not white, you will more than likely have to go to the counter to find out where your food is, and bring it back yourself. If you have to go to the counter, they will ignore you while standing around laughing and talking. They will also ignore you if you try to order at the counter. They want you to order through the app, because soon they plan to get rid of human workers (doing this already). But then African American neighborhoods always get poor service. All in all, it has been an unpleasant experience, many times, due to lack of hiring workers, and discrimination.. This is no longer fast food, as you could burn out a tank of gas, going through drive through, and standing in line is worst. I have contacted their headquarters about ordering through the kiosk, because I'm handicapped and have a hard time carry the food using a walker. They put back the table tents but put them on the kiosk machine that doesn't work. Customers also complain about the app not working inside. I'm pretty sure that's...
Read moreI’ve had repeated bad experiences where my order was wrong and then having to wait super long periods of time for my food to be cooked. I once waited 30 minutes half my lunch just for a sandwich. They made me park and wait.
The worst experience I had was the person who took my order and my cash (exact amount) didn’t count my money and charged me for someone else’s meal. It was very strange bc she handed me back money and I said that no, this is for my whole meal. I have exactly what was the total. She was confused and sad she must have missed counted. What was a huge problem was that I went to get my food and they thought I didn’t pay! They made me pay more money because the lady who took my money had no idea how much I gave her. Irony I dropped the reciept at the first window because she didn’t hand it to me nicely and it flew out of my hand. The people then proceeded to make me wait and then said she put it as a charge. I looked at them and said no I paid cash and what I ordered and that it was exact amount. They ended up making me pay extra money because no one knew what was going on. I left and I am never going back there. The staff was...
