Well, I make this post with a heavy heart and a little anger. I have been a customer of Danny's since it opened. I even knew the owner back when he was working for the Frank's Pizza chain. Back when Danny's opened I was happy to try it out hoping that a good pizza place would find root in the lovely little hamlet of Bloomingdale. When I went into the establishment for the first time, I was happy to see the new owner as I had new him from his previous job. He had served me and my grandfather countless times and now he was an owner of his own place. Well, I thought I developed a strong relationship over the years as a loyal customer. Unfortunately, last night when I went there for dinner, I had received rather bad service and the food that I ordered did not live up to the quality that I had grown accustomed to. I reluctantly tried to eat my sandwich but couldn't finish it and waited until the place cleared out and there were no customers to let the owner know my displeasure. Instead of being accommodating to his looooong time loyal customer all he could do is say two things. First he said that I should of said something before trying to eat my food and he would make me another one. Then he stated that I must of had a bad day at work and that is why I was complaining. Now I could go into everything that was wrong with my experience but this would not be the point and would be quite embarrassing for the business. The owner should of handled the situation quite differently in my opinion, especially given that I've been a customer for years and had never complained before. I was charged for my meal(full price) and not made to feel that I was important at all. This is quite a shame as I have always been a proponent of Danny's and bragged about them since I've been going there. I could forgive a bad meal, but not this treatment and reaction. I'm sorry to say that I don't think I will ever go back there. I really was shocked that the owner treated me...
Read moreTerrible experience. My order was very simple: vegetarian pasta with no meat. Despite repeating it several times, my dish came with ham/pork. When I called to report it, the girl on the phone wouldn’t even let me talk to a manager. When I finally reached Danny, instead of apologizing, he gave me attitude and said he wasn’t going to refund me. After arguing, I got the refund, but it felt like they were doing me a favor. Absolutely unacceptable. Completely unprofessional and careless. This is not just poor customer service but also a serious issue for anyone with dietary restrictions. If you value your dietary restrictions, don’t trust this place. You never know what they’ll put...
Read moreThe first thing I will say is that their food is very good. The Sauce is wonderful and when I had their subs not too long ago, the Chicken Cutlet was flavorful and not the usual thin slab of cardboard from other places.
Now let's talk about their drivers. Around our town there is one large Pizza place that has a fleet of reckless, insane, morons that speed, and tend to ignore traffic rules (like stop signs, and yield to pedestrians, for example). Danny's drivers are respectful on the roads, and professional/courteous upon delivery.
I'm glad we found them - in fact I'm calling them now to order a pie -...
