Read moreI love when ramen restaurants surprise me and pop up out of nowhere! I had decided to stop in during a rainy day and ended up having a very nice experience at this cozy little restaurant. I was greeted upon entering and promptly served. The music playing in the restaurant were all dance covers of 90s to early 2000s songs which was pretty awesome. I decided to order a garlic tonkotsu ramen and a diet Coke. The server (who also turned out to be one of the restaurant owners named Boris) was very nice.
The ramen I ordered had a decent presentation with the ingredients arranged very nicely as expected in a bowl of ramen.
Noodles: The noodles are thinner and springy. They have a good neutral flavor that helps take on the broth's flavors.
Broth: A very good tonkotsu broth. It was light, but creamy and savoury with a hint of the black garlic oil. Served at a good hot temperature.
Toppings: The fresh garlic helped enhance the broth. The nori melted in quite quickly as it was being served. The wakame seaweed, bamboo shoots, narutomaki, and the bean sprouts were all delicious in the broth. While I prefer eggs a little more soft and runnier, it didn't take away from how good they were. The eggs tasted yummy and well-seasoned/marinated.
Overall, the ramen is very good and I'll definitely be coming back again to try out the other ramen that this restaurant has to offer. I definitely suggest giving this restaurant a try and hope that this restaurant continues to do well...
Read moreMy son loves this place, and I asked to try it next time he visited. I had a chicken thigh with onions and veg bowl (noodle instead of rice.) The 1st time, it was outstanding. The 2nd time again, outstanding, but today it was tasteless, and I mean zero taste. Maybe because it's a Sunday? However, the the cost of a ramen bowl, I mean how hard is it to cook chicken? Instead of cubed it was tiny slices of chicken. No onions, 2 broccoli and whatever that sweet veg they use, instead of a full round slice on both sides, the cut one in half! Very disappointed. So, whoever was the chef on Sunday, do better. I'll try it again, but to have no taste at all? Someone wasn't paying attention. In regard to atmosphere, to be honest, we did take out, but my Son says it very nice. He visits 4 times a week. Service he says is great! So, I gave stars based on his experience. The food However was lacking today, but hopefully they read this and show it to whomever was...
