"Very low standards"

My wife and I are extremely frustrated and disappointed by our last visit to the Apple Bee's on Lyndale Ave. in Bloomington, MN. Upon our arrival, the restaurant was not very busy, yet we waited about 3-5 minutes to be seated. After being seated, we waited over 15 minutes before our waitress, Tanya, even acknowledged our presence in the restaurant. After ordering, we received our appetizer before even getting our drinks. (We were almost done eating the appetizer when the drinks arrived) When we got our main entree, my wife's Three Cheese Chicken Penne had very little sauce. So little sauce that the noodles had completely soaked it up and didn't even look like they had any sauce. It took us 15 minutes to get Tanya's attention. She didn't even stop by to check on our order during our entire visit. Once we requested more sauce, we waited another 15 minutes to receive it. By that time, I had finished my meal and my wife's meal was ice cold. After this terrible experience, Tanya came to our table 20 minutes later and tried to upsell us desert and drinks. After spending over an hour at the restaurant, how could she possibly think we want to wait 20 minutes for her to bring us some desert? I am completely appalled and will never go to this location ever again. It is conveniently located one block from our house, but we would rather go somewhere else that has acceptable service. This is not the first time we have been treated poorly or felt uncomfortable. In the past, it has taken us a long time to get our orders. Furthermore, we have watched one of the male bar tender (Tyler?) flirt with a group of high school girls while ignoring us for the rest of the night. This was absolutely sickening.

Horrible customer service and over cooked clumped pasta. The food quality at this location has declined horribly, and is no longer compensating for the horrible customer service by some employees there. On 12/15/2023 around 1130pm I went there to pick up food ordered under my wife's name. I stood at the bar waiting to pick my food for about ten minutes; I can tell the lady at the bar sees me but just ignoring me. There was very few people in the whole restaurant tops about 10 - 12 people already sitting. So after several minutes of standing there I asked the lady working at the bar; I am here to pick up for kristine. She now say in a rude tone " I will be with you I am in the process with someone". Then minutes later another employee walks by and ask have you been helped; I said no am here to pick up for kristine. He said he will go get it, after a while he walks towards me with the food, and starts yelling food for Kristine and laughing about it. Mind you I am a grown black man with beard on my face and never told him my name was Kristine. I told him from the start ; I am picking up for kristine and he knew that. Worst experience ever! I'm very surprise of the high reviews on here. My table couldn't get any service in an empty restaurant. Workers were hiding in the back kitchen. I had to ask a Manager for assistance. They mixed up our orders and did not apologize, instead the waitresses made up excuses then went on to say we were the ones who messed up and ate each other's salads when the waitresses should've known who got what and they didn't even explain that some dishes come with a side salad and not it's own individual plate. I got my appetizer before my salad and told the waitress I didn't get my salad yet and she said she would go check but never came back. She asked if my coworker wanted a refill and never came back with one. My steak was over-cooked when I asked for median rate too. It got awkward real fast. In the whole restaurant there was only 5 tables occupied with 3 waitresses and a Manager on duty. We watched the waitresses walk all around to check on all the other tables but ours.
