Very very disappointing! I first came to this store to get a computer. The computer worked fine in the store, but when I took it home, it did not work the same. I tried to return the computer, but was only given store credit. So, I usually don't shop at Pawn shops but I thought, ok, I will put money down on a Louie V. purse. I put the money I lost on the computer down on the purse. I made appropriate payments for four months. I missed my last payment by a month. The pawn shop took my purse out of layaway and ended up selling it to someone else on layaway. They told me they called me four times to remind me of my payment, but didn't leave a voice mail. So, because I didn't respond, and I missed a one month payment, they are only giving me a 400.00 credit to their pawn shop. I was going to get my purse out for Christmas, but not now. So, whomever they sold the purse to, they ripped me off and only gave me 4 phone calls without leaving a message to make my payment. I don't get the purse, and now my only option to use my 400.00 down that I paid IS to find something else at one of Maxit Pawn Shops. Personally, I don't even want to do business with this company due to their 'scamming' customer service process. I would think that they could have at least left me a message about my payment. Yes, I should have been more responsible, and called them, but I didn't think they would take my layaway off only after missing one month payment. THIS CUSTOMER WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH A PAWN SHOP, ESPECIALLY MAXIT PAWN AT THE BLOOMINGTON STORE. BRAD - you act like you are giving us a deal by giving me my 400.O0 back in credit???? Really??? Not a happy person, especially when every time you go in that store at any time, they always say, "Merry Christmas"... well, now it is December, and thanks, Brad and Maxit Pawn, "Merry Christmas...

I called on the phone with three flat screen televisions. I gave the model numbers to the manager over the phone and was offered $120 for one, $20 and then $40 for the others. I loaded up my car and drove over a half an hour away. When i arrived I asked for a cart to carry the televisions, and a young man said he'd help me unload my car. When we got outside, he asked if he could have a ciggarette, so i gave him one. He also asked for a lighter. I handed him the lighter, and never got it back!! With a little help, we got all three flat screens inside. The manager asked for a power cord, which i had for one of the tvs. I was told that two tvs were to old (she didnt say that on the phone when i read her the serial numbers), and the 46" sony bravia smart lcd tv would only fetch me $14!!?!?!?! Her words on the phone were, "$120 minimum". Needless to say, i loaded the tvs back into my car, and was getting ready to go when i noticed they tried to keep the power cord for a tv.. It was laying behind the counter. I remembered and asked for it back. When i got home i noticed the lighter i borrowed to the young man wasn't in my pocket when i went to light a ciggarette frustrated about the 2 lost hours of my day. When i called about the lighter I received an attitude from the manager regarding the issue, and absolutely no appology for the swindled lighter. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT SUPPORTING...
Read moreThe last week of February this year i stopped in to max it pawn before i flew home. I was in the market for a heavy gold chain. I was shown several and settled on one. After a little haggling i paid $1270 for a 40 inch 10kt yellow gold round box chain almost 60 grams. I wore the chain for a few months and decided to sell it. So about a month ago i bring the chain to my friends jewelry store to have it pollished. What i find out from this visit is point blank i bought a fake chain. An acid test failed and a frequency test revealed it to be gold fill. I called the manager who explained since i do not have the receipt theres nothing he can do it would be impossible to find the transaction. I spoke to a lawyer who informed me his statement about not being able to track down the transaction was false, since in order to operate as a pawn shop in Bloomington or the state of Minnesota, all transactions must be trackable no matter what. My lawyer will charge me a discounted ratevof $1000 to sue the store to recover $1270. I guess im out the $1270 because i cant afford to sue him. Buyer beware of this seller, unless you walk in with a frequency or xray tester buy your...
