This is our first time to this bdubs in a while because last time some of our food came out COLD. Not just not warm but COLD, refrigerated cold, and when we brought it to their attention they brought us more COLD FOOD.
So this was our first time going in about a year. We frequent other bdubs though, however I absolutely cannot recommend this one. So much so that this is the first time in about a decade I have left a restaurant without leaving at least a 10% tip. Even for subpar service I at least leave 15%. Nope, just a flat five dollars, as a former server myself I cannot within good conscious leave $0.
Our server Brayden, was absent minded the entire time, spent every second he could standing with the other servers or staff talking. To start the night off after taking our drink order, he brought my toddler a tall adult glass filled to the brim with lemonade. As soon as he set it down he said “I should’ve used a kids cup” we agreed and said we would need one. He set my soda down (Pepsi) but it was very pale, I assumed he messed up and it was tea which I wouldn’t have minded, but no, it was about 80% soda water with very little syrup, and undrinkable. When he came back to take our food order I had the drink set to edge of the table and told him what was wrong with it and asked for a signature lemonade to be added to the bill instead. I told him I would order the pick six meal for my son and I, I ordered ours, and then he started walking off without even taking my husbands order. My husband got his attention and ordered his but Brayden didn’t write it down which we thought was odd but it was just wings so we thought maybe he was going to put it in right away.
He never brought the kids cup when he came to take our food order so I went to the counter to ask for it, and as I did I remembered I didn’t ask for flats only so I told the female staff member walking by and she went up to Brayden (standing in a circle talking to staff) and let him know. I watched to be sure the message got to him.
He came walking out from his circle five minutes later and mutter something that sounded like “ugh flats” and then turned around and jogged back into the kitchen.
Me still waiting on my lemonade btw, but I had managed to get the kids cup from another staff.
Then a very nice young woman brought my and my sons food out. Not flats only. I let her know I asked for flats only, and I also requested my lemonade from her. It had been about 40 minutes at this point so I assumed Brayden forgot. She brought me my lemonade and we continued to sit there waiting.
Brayden came back out from his circle of buddies again, and noticed we had now been sitting for about an hour with no food in front of us, completely unaware that they had brought out my and my sons food (our food alone- not my husbands) and it was wrong. He ran back to the kitchen and then brought me and my son’s flats only, and just looked at the empty space in front of my husband. Then he asked for his order again. My husband reordered, and my son and I were done eating by the time his food came out.
Then we got the receipt and realized we were charged for the soda water drink, but paid and left. We didn’t know when we’d see Brayden again and didn’t want to ask and wait for him to be broken away from his social life again.
This is detailed and long in hopes that someone at this bdubs brings it to Brayden’s attention as to why he missed out on what is typically a very generous tip from us.
What I should have done is tipped the girls who stopped what they were doing and got my sons kid cup...
Read moreI never come here. But had a gift card so I decided to use it. As I was placing the online order it said pick up time would be 7(I ordered at 620ish). That's reasonable on a busy Thursday night. When I went to finish placing the order it had a new pick up time of 1130? I waited 10 minutes to see if the time changed and nothing happened so I called. I called two times and let the phone ring for about a minute each and nobody answered. I gave it 5 more minutes and called again. When the employee answered he was very nice and went to check on my order and said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrived at around 710 and the manager didn't look up from the screen to even ask me to hold on as he was busy. I watched him do this to many more people even when nobody was up there. He kept his head down, answered phones and messed with the screen but made no effort to acknowledge multiple people (I spent 8 years working in the service industry managing for 2, at least acknowledge a person even if you're telling them to hold on). Once he asked me my name and went to check the order he never came back. I watched him leave the kitchen and make no effort to let me know the status. The one guy that was back there was clearly busy and this manager was pretty useless. When the employee finally asked me my name he went to check. About 10 minutes later he came back and said it wasn't ready. Another 10 minutes goes by and he asks if I've paid and I said no. He went to check on my food again and this time came back and said it looked like I ordered my food at 11am. Which I didn't. I let him know I talked to someone and they said 15-20 minutes 20-30 minutes ago. He now informs me that my food is just now getting cooked and the online ordering has been messed up. So I've now been sitting at the Bloomington Buffalo Wild Wings for close to an hour still waiting on 2 small orders of wings and a side of buffalo chips and cheese curds. Sadly, I can't say I'm even surprised. This company has been going...
Read moreI have never had a good experience at the BW3 in Bloomington. So much so, that I had sworn off patronizing the place. Last night, my family and I had planned to order delivery from another establishment, but since I had to run an errand my wife convinced me to get BW3 carryout. She placed an online order, which stated a pickup time of roughly an hour after the order was placed, but I get that it is a busy Saturday night so whatever. I arrive precisely at the time on our ticket and am told it will be another 10 mins. Again, no big deal. In 10 mins I check in and am told that my order was actually not supposed to be ready until 8:40, blamed the time discrepancy on the order to a recurring, ambiguous "system error" and said that they were starting to cook my food now (the food she said would be ready now, they decided to go ahead and start cooking? Thanks.). So, I wait it out till 8:40, check in, and the guy who is now at the counter with a big old smirk on his face, says that it is going to be "maybe another 5, 10 minutes." During this time I have been waiting for an hour placed nearly two hours ago, I am witnessing people walking up, placing carry out orders on the spot, and walking out with their food. So now I am feeling this is purposeful on the part of BW3. I ask for a refund, and miraculously my food is done now. Manager comes out, asks me if I want the food at all, I say only if its free. Of course, he can't do that. He obviously also couldn't apologize as during this entire time he, nor any other staff, offered an apology for the inconvenience. It was like he couldn't comprehend that someone placing a carryout order does so because they don't have time to spend an hour in the restaurant. Based on other reviews and my experience he seems to be rather incompetent and incapable of running a restaurant. Luckily, Buffalouie's was open. Called them and they were able to have an order equivalent to what it had taken BW3 two hours to complete ready...
