As an advid coffeeshop crawler of the Bloomington terrain, I believe I can give a fair review of the coffee scene here in town. TLDR: come because their coffee beans are delicious, if you like sugary treats they've got them, the decor is warm, the bathrooms are clean and the friendly service is a bonus.

I should preface with my perspective is one of a keto-diet and keto-lifestyle patron. With that said, be forewarned fellow keto-lifestylers that you will be tempted and overwhelmed when you walk into the coffeehouse by enticing sugary treats and non-keto savory baked goods. I do wish they would throw a gf monkfruit sweetened or erythritol sweetened treat on the menu occasionally. On at least one occasion I've saved my carbs to allow for a slice of gf pumpkin bread (I regret nothing it was everything I imagined). Now on to the coffee and why I torture myself with daily exercise of will power. I haven't figured out why, but they have the best tasting coffee beans in town (consistently). Maybe they are fresher or have a superior espresso machine. I order their sugar-free almond milk latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup (on occasion*), andit's perfection. My one critique is that they do not sell reusable straws or reusable hot/cold cups. Several coffee shops in Bloomington are already doing this and helping to reduce waste (at least consider a recycling container). In conclusion, come because their coffee beans are delicious, if you like sugar treats, they've got them. The decor is warm, the bathrooms are clean and the friendly...

Very cozy place! They have lots of specialty drinks and a great variety of sweet and savoury baked goods. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, light lunch, or dessert, and whether you’re a tea or coffee person, you will find something here (except maybe not if you’re vegan or gluten-intolerant - they have nondairy milks, but I didn’t notice any vegan or gf pastries). I had a Red Pepper & Sweet Potato Quiche, an Almond Joy Cookie, and a Lavender Vanilla Chai Latte. All the food was delicious. I don’t think I’ve had sweet potato in a quiche before but the texture worked really well with the egg base. The pastry crust was also perfect. The cookie was soft and thick, and they offered to warm it up for me which was a nice finishing touch. The chai latte was also great. The lavender flavour was subtle but it gave the drink a very smooth and soothing flavour. I really like that the lavender vanilla flavour is in the concentrate they use rather than being from added syrup on top of a standard chai concentrate, so you get a good depth of flavour with less excess sweetness. The baristas were really nice. There was a small chalkboard that listed some of the quiches/galettes, but it looked like there was more in the case than what was on the board, and I also wanted to ask about the two chai flavours, so I had a lot of questions, but the staff was really helpful and didn’t get impatient. Standard prices for artisanal drinks...

Menu: This place seems like a glorified Starbucks at first glance.... but this place is very good. I always enjoy whatever bakery they have. But as a harsher coffee critic, I found this specific place to have best pure espresso shot. Not naming names, but some other highly esteemed cafes always have under-extracted shots. Out of a few times I've ordered from this place, they had either pleasantly well balanced shot or over-extracted shots. I'll choose over-extracted over under-extracted any day. I haven't tried much of their latte specialties. I tend to focus on classic espresso drinks and pour-overs. No place in Bloomington have great pour-overs. BUT I'm saying that because I'm comparing to top notch places from major big cities. Any person walking through those doors will enjoy the coffee.

Vibe: Good place to study, talk, etc. BUT this place gets overcrowded too easily, which is too bad. And it closes too early for me. Otherwise, I would come here more often.

Staff: Good folks. No complaints, only...

I have to admit, I'm a huge fan of the original location and I wasn't so sure about this one. However, it is quickly becoming one of my go-to places to drink coffee and study in peace. Just judging by the interior alone, this place is awesome! The other location is closer to me but this one stays open later. It is waaay less crowded and very quiet. The perfect study environment! Every time I have stopped in there have been less than five people doing their thing at a time. It's so chill, relaxing and there are few distractions. As for the coffee, it is good stuff. I've tried several of their baked goods and I'll be honest, they aren't out of this world. They look good but the taste was just so-so for me personally - with the exception of some of their cookies. I usually skip them, which is fine because I'm really there for the coffee! First refill is free which is about the perfect amount of caffeine for me personally.

My office comes here weekly for coffee/hot chocolate and pastries. I usually get a croissant. Always good. Today I got one full of some sort of green gritty filling - apparently a mix-up! I called and they said I'm down for a credit next time our company comes in. Good customer service, will be back! Update: So this week my office went back to Crumble. I got another croissant, this time with another weird, gritty filling, but red. Called and was told it was a mix-up, but this time the individual that answered the phone was rude. She told me "maybe you should just come down and check it yourself while you're here" when I told her of the mistake. The same mistake twice in the same week already makes me wary, but then the bad attitude? Meh. Hot chocolate was still good, though.

Nice space with many food options that looked great. Walked in, no greeting, no acknowledgement. 4 baristas were having a great time and very caught up in their conversation. The barista gave no suggestions, or conversation about anything, no personality. Ordered two seasonal drinks that had no flavor other than espresso. The chocolate chip cookie was good.
