So stopped here to get something for my son. And the lady in the speaker was being really nice and was having patience with me--it was taking me a few seconds to decide what I was going to get. Then I asked for a small sundae for my son but when I asked what toppings they had, some other voice came on the speaker and was loud and rude. I kinda panicked when she was yelling out the toppings and just got the first thing she said. I was like wow! Did I just bring out the beast mode out of this nice lady or did someone else come on the speaker just to be rude? So when I drove up to the window I asked the young lady who else spoke on the speaker because I was mad at this point. She said sorry it was my manager Kelly. So after I got the food, I parked my truck at the first place I found and called the Dairy Queen. So guess who answered the phone--yup you're right it was Kelly the manager. I told her that she should not be doing that to the customers, that's not how a manager should act and manage a store with a bad example. Well she kinda blew me off with "you have a nice day hun." So when I got home I was so mad and quickly wanted to get on my computer and write this. But had some other things to do and throughout the day my anger level went down. But I could not let Kelly's bad behavior go, especially after I saw there was ANOTHER review complaining of her bad behavior (by name). So people from this loving town of Bloomington avoid...
Read moreBig curly haired cashier dude (don't know his name, he wasn't wearing a name tag) was so incompetent it was almost funny. There's some kind of fundamental disconnect with his ability to communicate the simplest of tasks that I think the second best place for him is to be on dish and the first best place is to be at home.
There were only 3 small parties and yet he couldn't remember who ordered what. He literally walked in 3 circles around the restaurant with a hotdog in his hand. It was like a scene in a comedy movie. I repeat, there were only 3 small groups in the dining room and yet he couldn't find the customer who ordered it.
He must have forgotten who we were the second we left the counter because we made eye contact and ordered two hot fudge Sundaes and he let them sit in the window for almost 10 minutes despite the fact I was looking right at him. A helpful girl who we didn't even interact with was able to put together that they were our sundaes and had them brought to us by the guy who didn't even apologize to us. They were partially melted
Believe it or not, once those few orders were out he was on his phone because that's clearly more important to him. I don't usually post reviews but wow, this one particular employee...
Read moreI went through the drive through at 9:00 pm. I placed my order of two ice cream items. I paid and was told to wait in the reserved waiting area. 15 minutes later, I still have not received my order. At 9:16pm, I saw one employees ran out of the back door followed by another employee chasing after him in the drive through lane. They were young teenagers. I was getting frustrated at this time, but I remained waiting.
At 9:27, after not receiving my order, I went inside and asked for a refund. It appears all but one employee were messing around.
A young blonde team lead, gave me my refund. The receipt said Paige.
I went to the Dairy Queen in Normal on College and I received my order within 3 minutes.
The amount of unprofessionalism this Dairy Queen has is astonishing.
EDIT: And now I get the response below that is a copy and paste of every other negative review, but with my name on it. These kinds of responses make the situation worse. It shows you don't care and you are trying to blow off customers with a "We're sorry, please visit us...
