Update: Another $40 burrito bowl, another half-bowl with shorted ingredients, multiple missing items including extra cost items. Always a bad experience here, and always a financial loss somehow. Don't you charge enough to include the ingredients we're paying for? Instead of refunding what they missed off of the receipt - they want to give you the chance to come spend mor money to miss more items to have some endless loop of let-downs. Just dispute the charge on your card, and let them prove they included everything. Fight Visa if you want a fight over $4 worth of tortilla chips ($4 chips??? That's more than a large party-size bag of chips).
Remember when!? I sometimes remember when. I don't think the kids even know to be able to remember - but we know. We've had the 20% full bowls. Seen the serving sizes half in the last 20 years. It's always lower and lower quality, sizing, and is a well known brand-wide issue. I no longer associate them with being 'hip' though, just an expensive Taco John's. Ancho and Agave is cheaper, and more up-market and upscale... El Proton has more authentic Mexican for cheap. Everywhere (Herradura, Veracruz, etc.) has fresh ingredients, so why ever go here? I'm always dragged by some friend who seems to think they're who they were in 2008 - a good place to get two meals worth of fresh food for $15. Now it's a resentful debacle every time all for the pleasure of a $40 lunch. Idk how they stay...
Read moreThis place would be perfect at about half the price. But the premium cost isn't even close to justified. Three bucks for each bottled drink hidden inside a bag, so I don't find out it's the wrong one until I get home. $2.20 for a small bag of chips with "salsa", but the bag isn't even close to half full. My order was probably ready on time, but I have to stand by the shelves until someone feels up to asking for my name - a couple of times, because they don't have time to step away from their noisy station. There was one person in line; it's not like I was upset that they were took busy.
The food was actually mostly correct this time, which was a pleasant change. And the restaurant is generally clean-ish. I'd actually like going here. But thirty bucks for a two burritos, drinks, and a handful of chips? That's flat absurd. Not the "oh but inflation" kind, but the "we'll rip off our customers" kind. That's table service and me being confident my order will be right prices.
I'd go back or call for a correction, but it's a 40 mile round trip amd I'm pretty sick of calling managers who refund portions of my meal while my wife or I cook a second meal to make up for these kids' inability to just read the piece of paper and do the...
Read moredon't bother ordering on the app and picking up. It will always just be faster to walk in and order. 10 minutes past my estimated pickup and it's still not ready and there's no one here.
don't expect anyone to communicate or help you if you go in. I asked if they had more Pibb and the girl "went to check" as I waited...well she never changed it and never told me if they had more or not. She just started wiping down tables like 5 minutes later although I was waiting for a response.
you will get ripped off and shorted especially if you're ordering takeout or delivery. DoorDash and Chipotle are notorious, for us at least, to deliver the wrong food or claim they delivered food but nothing arrived....and all you get is a refund and hunger.
And one burrito and a pop just cost me...
