Me and my son came here for the first time on Christmas night for the hibachi experience. The show was fun and the food tasted ok but we both had nausea stomach cramps and bad diarrhea within hours of eating here. At first I thought it was the raw squid I ate but my son had steak and lobster both cooked and he got sick too. I don’t know if it was just us but there were 6 other guests eating from the same grill so I hope they didn’t feel ill. The raw food sat on a tray by the hot grill for 20 minutes before the chef started cooking it, not sure if that let bacteria grow in that short a time but anything is possible. The service was a little slow but the staff was friendly and the chef did a good job entertaining us some of the other guests were surprised when he started chuckling raw veggies for us to catch in our mouth but it was an enjoyable night despite spending the rest of the night and half the next day on the toilet. I honestly think I’ll give them another chance the upset stomach was probably a fluke occurrence I don’t see other reviews complaining about it. Maybe next time they will get a higher rating but 3 stars is the best I can give them after an upset stomach for...

My husband already tipped when he put the order online, hence why I didn't tip anything when I picked up. We didn't't realize there was a gratuity fee included. My question is: what did we tip for? We already paid for the food (very delicious), it wasn't served for us because I myself picked it up, so what is the gratuity for? I need answers as I am fuming. I am so disappointed.
We've not noticed before, it must be new. We won't stop eating or picking up from there, but we will definitely not tip anymore.
Be mindful and check your receipts everyone.
Kobe's is most definitely our favorite place in Blo/No so far. We treat ourselves to hibachi or their amazingly good sushi every once and again. Today for lunch, we for sushi and again, it is so amazing. Whether we go in to sit and eat or just pick up, they never seize to amaze us. Food is amazing, service is great, if you go in for pick up food will be ready before you get there and you are treated greatly if you have to wait a bit. We love Kobe's and highly recommend it to anyone...

Otherwise, do not expect speed in seating (all members of a group must be physically there before the group will be seated) or in preparation. Ordering does not take long, assuming you understand the basics of how it works here, but you will be sitting a while before the chef returns with the cart of ingredients.
If it's your first time coming, come with a friend who has already been to Kobe. That's the easiest tip for enjoying yourself.
The food itself is decent. It's flavorful and prepared immediately before you, and served to each individual as it is ready. Lots of rice and noodles, some veg but not a lot (and it would benefit from extra vegetables), with a fair portion of meat (enough and not too much).
Your enjoyment will largely be determined by your comfort levels and the personality of the chef...and the friends you bring.
We shared a table with another small group and there were mix-ups with the checks. It got straightened up just fine, but even that adds time to your meal (if time is a factor).
Glad we went. It was so-so for us. We will ...
