This place felt like a disaster last weekend.. I get it there was a lot of people there for the music festival but I was pretty upset with how everything went. At check in, they told us our bookings weren’t paid for.. false we booked through booking.com and paid the week prior.. we also booked these rooms before christmas for June… we showed our receipt and charges and they said that’s fine and asked for a card to have on file for incidentals.. the lady at the desk was asked 2 or 3 times if she was sure it was for only incidentals as we didn’t want to get charged for a booking we already paid for. She assured us, it was just for incidentals. Our booking was for 4 people, 2 rooms. One of the rooms was not what we booked. It was supposed to be two king bedrooms. So we went back to the front desk to ask them to switch us to what it’s supposed to be.. they told us they were completely sold out for the night but come back tomorrow and they should be able to get us into a room that we’d like. Ok.. fine. The next day I come back, and am told they’re sold out.. I said ok can I get a discount as this is not what we paid for.. basically in conclusion said no.. but she’s still gonna try to get us what we want.. ok.. gave her my number waited around for a couple hours. Then we have house keeping come in our room 3 times while we were there, eventually I asked what the deal was, he told me we’re supposed to be checked out.. our stay was for 4 nights and I was not called back by the front desk so I was confused. Went to the front desk just to catch a slight attitude from the manager which told me she has a room for us and tried to call our room but we didn’t answer.. I said you had my number for that reason but ok.. switched our room to what we wanted. Gave us room keys that didn’t work.. came across some people in the hallway that also said they’re on their third set of keys. Great… had some friends check in that day, that also booked on booking.com with absolutely no issues.. and actually they booked the same rooms as the rest of us and ended up getting a 2 story suite.. make it make sense. Anyway, the weekend continues on fine.. then upon check out, they had charged us for both the rooms again.. we have gone back and forth with the hotel for 3 days now discussing refunds and so on and so forth. Claimed they had to charge our card due to booking.com not paying out yet.. never have had this issue and I only book my stays with booking.com so it was weird.. still waiting on our over $800 refund. This really ticked us off as we asked several times if the card was just for incidentals.. And then they also had the audacity to call and say we had to pay for our extra night stay even after they messed alllll this up and didn’t have us in the room we wanted for one night. Maybe they’re better on a normal weekend but we will not...
Read moreI was looking to use this hotel as my home away from home during my 3 month work assignment. After staying there for a couple days last week, i will not be doing so. The rooms were nice but the maintenance was slow. I arrived the day of an ice storm. Checking in the parking lots were full sheets of ice, some.more than others. I stayed in building 9. I called the front desk 2x to inquire about getting the lot & sidewalks salted. I literally had to slide from my car to the door with luggage. I also watched a elderly man have to do the same. The lobby parking lot was so bad that i couldnt even pull in to parl my car because it was so icy, my car just kept sliding I understand the weather was bad, however it is a HUGE safety hazard to not even attempt to put down salt. Maintenance never came. On the day of checkout, the fire alarm went off in my room. There was no fire in my room so i called front desk to ask for maintenance to come by to shut it off because it wouldnt go off. 40mins went by & no one ever came (again), however when i stepped out of my room there was someone vacuuming in the hall & the housekeeper was a few doors down. So mucj for even checking to make sure things were okay. The biggest deal breaker was the false information, or bait switch that was done. I spoke with the Sales Rep, Sara, prior to my arrival to inquire about a discounted rate for travel nurses for 3-6nights for the next 14 weeks. She quoted me a rate less than $100 after taxes. When i called to book the rate for my future stays she gave me a rate totaling $122/night & stated that the other rate was for 30 day stays only. This was not the information that was given to me originally as i never inquired about 30days. I was quite disappointed in the fact that she changed the info she originally gave & the performance of maintenance. Bar service was good even though they closed an hr early almost every night. Also the guy at checkin was very unwelcoming, & short. He didn't do a good job of explaining how to use the drink tickets either or that you get a ticket every night. Due to this i missed out on some of my complimentary drinks. I mentioned several times that I was in town for work. Out of all the units they had they put me in the building where they were doing construction, which woke me up from my sleeps during the day. I work late nights so sleep in when I can. I'm not really sure why you would put someone that id there for business/work in a construction building, unless that was the last option. Thay didnt seem to be the case as the lot was pretty empty on all sides. Maybe in the future, if these things are resolved I'd return but for now I'll take my business elsewhere & will advise my colleagues to...
Read moreThis was not what we expected for a Wyndham related "suites" type establishment. Our stay was very mid level for a few reasons and dare I say disappointing by the last night of three nights. Checking in was fine. The room size was good but definitely was not what we would classify as any kind of suite. We got building 9. The location was the best thing the hotel had to offer. It was close to restaurants, shopping, and airport. There is no pool which surprised us for the way the propety is marketed as more than a hotel. We were told it had to go to make way for the bar and gambling slots. I am no prude but that seemed out of place for a family type place. The restaurant area was nice enough and charmingly decorated. The breakfast is decent though the hours were not consistent with what was published so we missed out one of the days to find it closed early. It was nice we got free drink coupons at check in so that helped a bit. We took advantage of that one of the nights amd the barkeep was friendly. The worst part of our stay was a dank room and the horrid smells of someone who didn't heed to no smoking zone. It was clearly another guest and it went on all night. It crept into our room and disturbed my sleeping child it was that strong. It was after 9 pm the last night so not much could be done. It was just disappointing. The shower water pressure was great. Upon checkout I was given a bill and told they didn't know anything about me having prepaid. That was very annoying and stressful being told I had to call a manager later in the week so I had to leave with that feeling. We would likely choose another place next time in...
