Read moreThis is a small restaurant, not really a ton of decorations or any stuff like that. You order at the counter and take a seat. I went with 3 different tacos: chorizo, asada, and el pastor. It came with rice and beans which was pretty good. They also give you a trio of salsas. An avocado with jalapeno (I think), it has some heat and is a thick and creamy consistency. It's really good, I like this one the most. The tomatillo salsa has some heat as well, and I think it has jalapeno, but I'm not sure on that. The 3rd salsa is what I think is a pretty warm chipotle salsa. And it is warm, its not some mayonnaise based sauce from some fast food place, it's hot and it has a ton of flavor. I had it with the rice and beans and it was really good.
The tacos were really good. They're simple, 2 tortillas, meat, onions, and cilantro. Limes are on the side, I like the lime with the el pastor. The el pastor also had pineapple in it I think, which was a really nice touch. The tacos are really good, up there with El Porton. Most importantly they're simple, tortilla, meat, onion, and garnish. The tortillas are excellent, good flavor, and great texture. The meats are all good and well seasoned. And the sauces are great. This is one of the best restaurants in town, up there with El Porton. Those two stand head and shoulders above any other Mexican restaurant in town, and I suggest you go immediately to which...
Read moreThe food in here is amazing! I’m from out of town and every-time I come to Bloomington can’t wait to come here and eat their tortas. The cubana is amazing and it’s a must.
A little story of how this people do business the right way: I came yesterday to pick up an asada torta, and I ordered the fried cheese that they have, which is great. It was a boomer when I made it to my hotel and didn’t have it, so I decided to call: spoke with Iliana and she apologized and offered if I wanted to go back and get it, but I was actually 15 minutes away and hungry, so I just said, I’ll go tomorrow and order another torta so, just give me the cheese tomorrow.
Long story short when I made it back today, the cashier whose name is Allison remember me from yesterday and it looks like them as a team spoke about the situation, and she didn’t accepted my payment… they said that they apologize and gave me a free torta.
Great costumer service, when a bad experience turned out as great, and now they have a more loyal costumer.
I’m from St.Louis and definitely this are some of the best tortas that I ever had. That with great costumer service is a recipe for a...
