My friend and I came to lunch here later last year (2024), but I haven’t had time to post a review until now. We had a terrible/awkward experience for multiple reasons:
Entry - When we walked it, the staff member who greeted us did not seem like he was sure of the protocol. We asked if we order at the counter or if there was table service and he said we could order by using the QR code on the menu so we took the menus and sat down. Shortly after, he came to take our order. We were confused because he just told us to order on the QR code, but we ordered with him since he was there. We got fountain drinks, and he told us he couldn’t get them for us and that we had to get them ourselves. That was confusing, but fine and we got drinks. Every interaction we had with that person was so awkward and he didn’t seem like he was confident in the process at all.
Food- I ordered a quesadilla and fries, which were fine. I also ordered the Big Mac N Cheese ($6). I asked if they had a smaller option and they didn’t, which was fine, so I got that. When the Mac N Cheese came, it was drenched in grease. I wanted to give it a try despite that, so I mixed it and took a bite of one noodle. It tasted like straight grease. I could barely taste any cheese.
Customer Service - The next time the staff member came to us, I expressed how the Mac N Cheese wasn’t made well and it was extremely greasy. He said, “that’s just how we make it”. So I asked if it could be removed from my bill and he said, “we don’t issue refunds”. I explained to him that we hadn’t paid yet since he took my order and that I only had the one bite. I then showed him the dish so he could see the grease pooling in there. He said, “let me ask”, and left for a few minutes.
He came back with another staff member and he looked at me and just said, “we don’t issue refunds”. I again explained that I hadn’t paid yet. They looked at each other and said they would have to talk to the cook. So I said okay and waited. They were taking awhile to come back and we had to leave soon to make it back to work before lunch was over, so we went up to the register to get an update.
It seemed like they were trying to get someone on the phone, and the two guys, plus the cook (I assume) were talking. The 2nd staff member was on the phone and at the register in front of us and the cook asked what was wrong. The 2nd staff member said, “she didn’t like the Mac n cheese”, and the cook said, “what is it, like 6 bucks, I’ll pay for it if she didn’t like it that much”. Literally right in front of me with a huge attitude. I asked if they could just take it off the bill since I didn’t eat it and I didn’t pay yet, and the 2nd staff member said AGAIN “we don’t give refunds.”
At that point, we were at the counter for 15+ minutes and needed to leave to get back. So I asked if they had an update. The first staff member who helped us came and said, “we need a managers approval to give a refund so we can’t help.” So I paid for the food and left.
I will never go back here again because of this experience. I did not expect them to bend over backwards in anyway, but they didn’t even provide basic kindness in this visit. They were rude, appeared to not familiar with the ordering process, and even when they could see the grease inside the bowl of “Mac n cheese”, didn’t even try to work with me for a solution. Read moreExcellent service and delicious food! The menu is diverse, not like any other menu I have seen. They have some unique items as well as a new take on some old favorites. There is something for everyone! And everything is freshly cooked to order. We tried the fusion crunchies which are colorful, crispy rings with a savory flavor. They were fun to eat as an appetizer. The Buffalo mac and cheese had just the right amount of spiciness. The chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and crunchy. The macaroni and cheese was full of cheesy goodness and baked to perfection! The house ranch complemented the dish perfectly. The open sandie is an open-faced sandwich with a chicken or fish option. I chose fish. The fish was large and cooked just right with a crunchy breading and flaky on the inside. It was on a perfectly toasted brioche bread with romaine, tomato, red onion, and pickle. They have many delicious sauces from which to choose to accompany the sandwich. It also came with seasoned fries that were crisp and delicious! The owners really care that the customer enjoys the experience and they seek ways to improve. Everything was hot and tasted great! The dining room is modern and clean. I enjoyed my experience very much and will return to try some other items! Well, I've returned and the falafel tacos on naan are delicious with a side of Chipotle and chickpea butter. Also delicious are the bacon wrapped jalapeños. The Afghani chicken had just the perfect cream sauce, not too heavy but very, very flavorful. It had a rich buttery flavor with a hint of dill. And of course, the service is excellent! Our server was attentive, friendly, and a...
Read moreThis one is a budget-friendly HIT! 10/10 A+ This spot is a standout family-owned casual restaurant offering an Asian-inspired menu with global influences, catering to all tastes, including children. My boyfriend and I visited for a takeout order on Sunday, July 21, 2024 and spent $30 (before tax and gratuity).
The online ordering platform is easy to use while offering options to customize our entrees. Our food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. We enjoyed a bacon and egg hamburger and chicken tandoori. The to-go packaging was thoughtfully assembled with utensils, condiments, and a side of chips with lime wedges. If you do not like heat in your dish, the chicken tandoori is served at three levels and suits all palates.
NOTE Although the tandoori chicken required a bit of time to cook (±25 minutes and definitely worth the wait), the owner personally attended to us. She provided a light appetizer and a carafe of water to make the wait pleasant. While we don't live nearby, we would eagerly return if we're in the area...
