Six Strings Club — Restaurant in Bloomington

EDIT: After leaving the following review, I was contacted by both the GM and owner of the establishment, who both handled the complaint very well. They swiftly dealt with the problem in a very professional manner, I would consider returning to Six Strings.

Reading everyone else's reviews actually shock me. I can't believe anyone gets good service here. I had one nice interaction with one security guard, but that's it. Last Saturday, at 1:25, with 35 minutes remaining until closing time, they began pushing tables together. The TABLE that we were using was pushed literally from under us. One of my friends was leaning on the table and I had a hand on my drink and they literally pushed it back and then had the audacity to tell us to move so they could push another table where we were standing. I walked up to the rude security guard that was doing this and tried to ask why and he said because they were closing. I told him that they still had thirty minutes and he said that he wanted to go home and then walked away from me. I was in shock. Then my friend asked if she could get a water, and rude bartender said "No, we're closed", even after she offered to pay for it. We went to a different bar and they gave us water, because they were all still open for 20 minutes and that's what bars are supposed to do. I was shocked about how rude and hostel everyone was. I will not be going back to this...

Came in with a group of 15ish people and as the bartender was ID’ing us she immediately assumes we’re all underage and says this after scanning all of our legal ID’s. Continues to make comments about vertical IDs, says we’re underage, shouldn’t be serving you, etc.

After we get all our ID’s scanned, we order a round of shots for half of us, and the bartender proceeded to pour her own shot. She says “I’m taking a shot with you guys and you’re paying for it because one of you are underage” and CHARGES US FOR HER SHOT WITHOUT ASKING. (NONE of us were underage, we were also ID’ed before getting on our party bus beforehand)

If that wasn’t enough, a few friends start to jokingly dance as the floor was empty. She then makes a comment that we need to buy a drink to dance? After ignoring her she then makes a comment bashing on my friend dancing.

We immediately left after that. Didn’t feel welcomed at all after being a paying customer. Came for the karaoke and didn’t even get to experience it because of her poor attitude. Made my friends feel uncomfortable and outcasted. We were all 21-24 y/o and maybe lasted 20mins in there. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Bloomington nightlife.

have been trying to contact someone since December 4th about a charge dispute. It's almost February. I have called(which the # does not work) emailed, and Facebook PMed and cant get anyone to respond to fix this error. I was charged a $25.00 tip when my receipt clearly states i . I know mistakes happen, which is why I had tried so hard in giving a chance to get it corrected. I had to go through my bank to refund the money (they couldn't reach anyone either).

Should probably add TO BE FAIR- the first email I sent I got a response of "I'll look into this and get back to you" (not signed by anyone) and my Facebook PM has been seen, but not responded to.
