Support the arts! I've been coming to BCPA since 2015. Plenty of free parking around the area, volunteers are awesome, shows are entertaining! Students get discounts with ID, so I've seen shows for as little as $5 and $10.
The ONLY one time (back in 2017) when I had a problem, the staff resolved the problem by moving me up to the front row:
I was originally sitting next to a woman who kept yapping throughout the show "Route 66" and being completely rude to other people seated around her. Could she not notice how talking during the show was disturbing others? I paid $$$ for my seat to watch the show in peace. During intermission, I reported Blabber Mouth to the usher who told me to move up to the front. I got to watch the rest of the show with no problems!
What's funny is that after the show as the audience got up to leave, Blabber Mouth walked up to me and was highly offended by asking to move away from her.
"But... YOU WERE TALKING!" I guess some people don't understand the difference between a theatre and their...
Read moreBeautiful place but I won't go to another rock concert there. It was my first visit to this venue. We usually watch this band at the Castle theater. House lights came up before the last song and our small audience wasn't even out the doors before they had turned off the lights in the building. It was 9 pm. Forget about an encore, its not that kind of venue. I don't think they should sign concerts if they don't want them there. I spent more money on those tickets than I did at the Peoria Civic Center concert I went to earlier in the week. With intermission we barely saw 1.5 hours of music. I'm used to a show playing until at least 10. That was not worth tickermaster prices and fees. Hopefully if that band does decide to come back to the area they choose a different venue. This place would be wonderful for orchestra, plays, choirs--things you don't want to jump up and dance to. Please let high energy bands know what type of...
Read moreGreat smaller venue that has been bringing in some interesting shows. You need to check the website often as some are scheduled well in advance and others pop up quickly. I would suggest going directly to the box office on East side of the building or calling to purchase tickets or legitimate TicketMaster site. You can also purchase tickets for the arena events there as well.
Volunteers that work at the events are friendly and helpful. Lots of stairs in front, but the side entrance near the box office has access to one elevator. Parking is challenging and can be difficult for those with mobility issues. There is a small drop off area by side door. The curbside parking on East side of the building is reserved for handicap, but be careful of the brick street and curb. Check parking map on the website for...
