Monical's Pizza — Restaurant in Bloomington

I work at a business nearby this Monical's. We are VERY regular customers of this establishment and generally receive good service, which has recently started to go downhill.

My coworker and I ordered two individual pleasers. We've done this at least a half a dozen times, always tip 20% and always give clear delivery instructions. The driver was initially on time, but he had to wait behind a single customer we were serving for just over one minute. At this point, he left (!!!) and I assume went on another delivery. We initially assumed he would return shortly and that the other delivery must be very close by as he was in plain sight when he left our parking lot and actually made eye contact with me as he was leaving.

However, he took 25 minutes to return. I called the restaurant to report the driver, and the manager was unprofessional, did not apologize, and certainly did not offer to discount much less comp our (at this point very late) meal.

We received our food cold, the driver spilled one of the beverages, and the pizza was burnt and soggy.

We're going to be finding a different regular...

This is one of my family's favorite places in town to get pizza. I may be the lone holdout because I prefer thicker crusts. If your not dedicated to Chicago style this is as good a place as any. The family pleaser normally fills us up with options for salads and drinks. The deluxe gives you a spicier option if you like going that route or add crushed red pepper yourself at the table. You can also add on some breadsticks or wings for a little extra. If you have never tried dipping your pizza in their signature French dressing I highly recommend it. I can't say this will be the most affordable place for pizza but it's one of the more tasty. Not quite as good as Tobin's pizza or as affordable as some others but...

We have gone to the Eldorado Road restaurant twice the past 2 months. Not sure if they have new management or what, but the service was HORRIBLE both times. They were so slow with getting orders out both times. The most recent visit we waited 40 minutes for our Pizza and there were only 6 other people in the restaurant. We sat for quite a while with our drinks being empty and the waitress never did check on us during those 40 minutes. My daughter and I have decided not to go back to this place. Either management needs to step up or you need some...
