This review requires some background information... I will try to be brief. I have a 20 yr old gas Maytag dryer. I have had NO problems with it since it was installed in my basement. I noticed a load of towels was not very dry... unusual I turned on the dryer again.... no drum rotation. I figured a broken belt that drives the drum holding the clothes.
After a few Google searches I called a local appliance repair company. NOT MR APPLIANCE
Steve... answered my call. He talked a really good "game". Said he knew all about older model Maytag machines. Good I thought! He said over the phone.. "yeah I can fix it for around $150". Hoping to keep this thing for another year or so... I thought Sounds good to me.
Steve (again NOT MR APPLIANCE service tech) comes to my home, takes my dryer apart. Starts talking about all these other parts . Says he will get back to me... Cost went from $150 to $300. I said call me when you have parts information. I NEVER HEARD FROM STEVE AGAIN.. Even after several text messages and phone calls.. BUMMER! Broken and disassembled dryer in my basement.
I called Mr Appliance. Katie answers my call... Katie was cheerful, witty, professional. Explained how their Company works. Asks me for model and serial number (which I had). Said she would check on parts and get back to me. Ok this is good. Next day....NO CALL from Katie on parts or scheduling .... Ummmm here we go again.
Well different story. Katie called me at 8:00pm that evening and explained that two service techs called in sick and she had a ton of juggling to do. She said "I'm working late to be sure I could get caught up" Customer service - Indeed. Said she did get my parts ordered and have a service tech come out as soon as she had the parts. Took an extra day to get parts but got scheduled for the very next day.
Service Tech Jeff came an hour early ( he did call and text me that he was coming early--- Much appreciated) Jeff was great. He had my dryer working in 30 mins. I was charged exactly what I was quoted by Katie the day before. Parts and labor included!
Both Katie and Jeff did a great job. They were professional , very pleasant to work with and honest. Much appreciated these days! Overall my experience with Mr Appliance was very good. Hope my old Maytag makes it another...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCalled Mr. Appliance for service on dishwasher as well as service on oven. Brett showed up at noon (appointment was for 3:00 pm). Looked at dishwasher and oven. Brett said seal around door was rotted. Ordered parts for both dishwasher and oven to the tune of $589.00. Brett said it would take about a week. After hearing nothing for two weeks, I called their office. The girl that answered the phone said to me (after I explained the situation), "were you under the impression we ordered parts for you?" I replied yes since I had already paid $589.00. After much stuttering, she said she'd get parts ordered ASAP. Tim came on 4/21 and installed parts on dishwasher, but the wrong part had been ordered for the oven. He said I would be pleased to know that the new part was $60.00 cheaper. Tim returned next day with correct part. Having heard nothing, I called office and was told there was nothing in the records about a refund. Amy said she would have to talk with her manager. Today I received a call from Amy and was told her manager approved a refund of $21.44. She said Tim was no longer with them and this was the actual price difference. I was not pleased and told her I would never use Mr. Appliance again and hung up the phone. Amy called back and said you hung up on me before I could get your card number information in which I replied I didn't use a credit card, I gave him a check! She said she thought she saw in the record that I used a credit card. After checking, sho.said it was a check and she'd get a refund check in the mail to me. I do not recommend using this business!
6/1/22....still haven't received my refund!!!
6/20/22 - still waiting for my refund.
6/23/22 - Received a call from Katy (Office Manager) and she said my review had come across her desk. I explained the situation. She was surprised by everything that had happened. Long story short, I got a $60.00 refund check today. She also placed a $109.00 credit on my account should I use them again. No one in her office had ever talked to her. It took some time, but she...

We have been without a working washing machine since 12/16/2024 due to a broken panel. Mr. Appliance replaced the panel, but when they turned it on, it worked worse than before they touched it. Since then, they have come back several times, had me order three different parts, and Iāve spent nearly $800 trying to fix a washer that they seem to have broken even further.
On 1/18, I spoke with Cassie, expressing my frustration with the money spent and lack of results, and requested a refund. She assured me that if the technician couldnāt fix the issue during the next visit on 1/23, they would explore resolutions for a refund. The tech left on 1/23, claiming the washer was fixed, but it was not. I followed up, even sending a video via email to prove it was still broken, and requested to speak with a manager.
Despite calling back multiple times, Iāve received little to no communication. On one occasion, I spoke with Megan, who said sheād reach out to her manager and āhopedā they would contact me. I told her that some sort of communication from management was necessary to discuss options moving forward, yet Iāve heard nothing. Today, I called again around 1 PM, and the call went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail requesting a callback from management ASAP, but Iām not holding my breath.
Communication is absolutely key in any business, especially one that relies on customer experience and professionalism, both of which are severely lacking here. This company is starting to feel like a scam, given the lack of resolution, accountability, and follow-up.
I would strongly advise others to avoid their services at all costs. This experience has been nothing short of...
