China Star — Restaurant in Bloomington

Well, the food looked good aside from the fact there was a smoldering cigarette but in my bag I discovered after opening just before throwing away not to mention the driver didn't want to leave his vehicle, which belongs in a junk yard if you ask me, because he said on the phone it was too cold to walk the ten feet to my door from the parking lot, so I had to meet him at his junket in freezing weather in my night shorts and house shoes to get my own food. After that I decided to give him a 1 dollar something tip and he told me it was required minimum of 2 dollars for some reason I've never heard of before, also, he seemed drunk because he was walking side to side shaking my bag to hell getting out the car to give me my food, older creepy looking skinny man said his name was rick and said he had my number from a ticket asked me what my name was and if he could call me sometime and if i smoked weed. Was better this time. Hot & Sour soup broth was delicious but the overcooked tofu in it was unpleasant. Paid extra for pork in the soup but that wasn't very good. Best to go with ordering the soup the way they make it. Other than that our entrees were hot, fresh, and delicious! We had General Toas chicken, Beef and Broccoli, and Sweet and Sour Chicken.

New to the neighborhood and picked this up tonight. Unfortunately it wasn't very good. Soggy pork fried rice with maybe 1 piece of pork, not much in the hot and sour soup, and soggy vegetables. Not much meat in the entrees. Disappointed and will try other restaurants. 25-30 years ago it was difficult to find a bad Chinese restaurant but now it seems the norm. Not...

Stopped in a little after dinner time. I am not from the area but figured I would give it a try. I am glad that I did. I ordered cashew chicken (there was a combo) with an egg roll and crab rangoon. You added some extra fried wontons.

While waiting for my food, I learned that the owner was taking my order. We chatted about our respective cities and why I was in town. Very nice gentleman if you do get to meet him.

The food was amazing. Fresh vegetables, sliced chicken, delicious rice, and the fried items were not greasy at all. I was given plenty of red sauce for dipping.
