A Flavorful Hidden Gem ā Wok to Bowl is a Must-Try!
Wok to Bowl is hands-down one of the best new restaurants to hit the area. This fusion gem brings together Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japaneseāand even a bit of Koreanāin a way thatās incredibly fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The name Wok to Bowl couldnāt be more fitting: every dish is made to order, freshly prepared in the wok, and your taste buds can tellāitās that fresh.
One of my favorite things is that you can choose your spice level with every dish. I prefer mild, which still gives a little kick without overwhelming the flavors. My friends love it spicy, and the hot and +spicy levels absolutely deliverātheyāre bold, fiery, and not for the faint of heart.
I usually go for the vegetable stir-fry or the Indian Curry Paneer in Butter Sauce with Rice (mild)āboth are exceptional. My husband and I have tried over a dozen different dishes, and weāve genuinely enjoyed every single one. One of his go-to meals is the chicken lettuce wraps. Though listed as an appetizer, theyāre so well-portioned and satisfying that they work perfectly as a main dish.
Portions here are very generous across the board. The bowls are hearty and filling, and the appetizers are often large enough to be a full meal. My husband will order and pick up the food there. We live in Lexington, and the food is still hotātemperature-wiseāby the time he gets home, which says a lot about how well itās prepared and packed. The restaurant itself is clean, open, and invitingādefinitely a great option if you prefer to dine in.
The staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable. If youāre new to any of the cuisines they offer, donāt hesitate to ask questionsātheyāre more than happy to help guide you to something youāll love, based on your taste and preferences.
As someone who prefers vegetarian food and dishes without meat, I really appreciate how much variety they offer. With so many combinations and flavors, you could easily eat here every night for 90 days and never have the same thing twice.
Another major plus? The prices. The quality of the food is on par with what youād find at much more expensive restaurants, but Wok to Bowl is refreshingly affordable.
Itās no surprise that itās getting busierāpeople are catching on that this place is something special. Wok to Bowl is a true local gem.
But what keeps us coming back from out of town every weekāsometimes more than twiceāis the food. Itās that good. Fresh, flavorful, comforting, and crave-worthy. Wok to Bowl has become a part of our routine because every meal is genuinely delicious.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've eaten Wok to Bowl several times since they opened. I wanted to try a few things before I reviewed. So far I've had spicy Korean stir fry, general tso's stir fry, paneer Tikka masala, chicken traditional curry, and yellow Thai curry. I have also had the naan, roti, eggrolls, and samosas. The food has been reliably delicious. Serving sizes are kind of too much almost - I always have leftovers. (And the leftovers are so good!) The Thai curry was sweeter than i prefer, but still had good flavor. The eggrolls are the best I've ever had (sorry mom). The samosas were so good and the sauce they come with was a great addition. The two things I would improve: it is confusing whether to order at the counter vs the screens, and about half of the time the staff seems frustrated at the customers that don't know exactly what to order. (Generally the staff is helpful, but those taking the orders are inconsistent. Some of them are great and some clearly don't want to be there.) Overall i highly recommend the restaurant - clean, great food, mostly nice staff. The takeout is packaged well. Dining in is pleasant - it's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat new restaurant, although Aroma dosas are still greatly missed. But the new concept is very cool ā Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and Thai cuisine, all served in a quick and convenient bowl format. I ordered the Indo-Chinese fusion spicy chilli bowl with cauliflower and it was beyond delicious. However, my portion size compared to everyone else's was tiny. Requesting the owner to add a rice or noodle base to the InChin bowl like every other type of bowl has a base of some kind. Otherwise it's just $12 for a bowl of batter-fried cauliflower which isn't good value for money. That being said, portion sizes for other bowls are plenty and good value for money. Great selection of beverages as well. Really love the fully remodeled and redecorated interior (including fireplaces) and various types of seating options. Service was pretty quick. You do have to return your bowl and utensils to the trash area. All in all, an excellent new addition to our town and I'll be back soon but will order something more...
