Fritterbox — Restaurant in Blountstown

“Frittabox nuh nahmal.” I visited yesterday (June 18 - possibly on their grand opening) with zero expectations and left extremely impressed! I tried three fritter boxes: Lamb C, Chicken & Plantain, and Chickpeas & Plantain all of them made fresh, full of flavour and served with custom dipping sauces that perfectly matched each variety. The Chickpeas & Plantain was my personal favorite. They had four box options when I went, but they told me that they offer up to 15. They sell their own juices as well, and I chose the tamarind juice and it was on point. The owner even let me sample a breadfruit juice and cow foot dish both were excellent. (They sell some other food plates as well)

Fritterbox to di world! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the fritters especially. My order was red herring and plantain fritters with curry goat. The meal was mouthwateringly scrumptious. The sweetness of the plantain was an excellent contrast to the savory red herring fish. The curry goat was tender and seasoned to the heavens.The owner was kind and knowledgeable. She offered a complimentary melonade and cake. She even gave me son a sample of a mango and ginger ice pop. The breadfruit peanut drink is the most satisfying beverage I've tasted. First time in and thrilled to find a place that caters to health and taste!! This is REAL food! They use coconut oil to fry which is one of the only oils that doesn’t go rancid when heated too high. I got the MangoSop juice, Turkey sausage and chickpea fritters and vegetable stew!! The juice is like eating a real mango and having soursop is an added bonus as that is a cancer fighter!!
