Dough Factory Pizza — Restaurant in Edgewood

Well I wanted it to be the best ever but I think it just didn't travel well. It's 10 min from my house but was like a heavy brick upon arrival. I think if I would have had it go back in my oven at 400 for maybe 10 or 15 minutes it could have rejuvenated the very heavy bread and cheese . My toppings tasted good. I would potentially try it again. I'm a little more disgusted with myself for the amount I paid for doordash. I liked the edges which were cooked good and I think undercooked might be the situation with the innards. I would not do Detroit style again unless sauce on top was in addition to sauce under the cheese. Felt like not enough sauce. I think I would try again because it had the potential to be pretty good. Next time I'll have my oven ready and throw it in and wait for it to get very hot again. I will also get sauce under the cheese and probably go get it myself instead of delivery just due to how ridiculous it costs for doordash and ubereats.

UPDATE: I reheated my leftovers and it was better the second day after sitting in my oven for 15-20 minutes. I should have done that when it got here in the first place and it probably would have been better. I think the whole thing was just undercooked and needed alot more sauce. I would potentially try again and for sure not get Detroit style which needed alot more sauce. I don't mind the sauce on top process but it just wasn't...

Normally Buttercrust is pretty good, but after last night, our family was pretty let down. We’ve been numerous times where our order was incorrect, not done in the timeframe we were told it would be, and usually we just let it go…. But after last night, when I walked in later than I was told that my food would be ready, and it still wasn’t done…. My frustration started to pick up on other things and think about other issues we have had. None of the staff wear gloves. I was watching my food be prepared with bare hands. Staff were touching multiple surfaces and then my food. Stomach was already turning at that point. The food was horrible last night too. The pizza had way too much cheese and grease and the pizza was cut in weird ways. Some pieces were huge and some were very small. Clearly no integrity from the staff member handling the food preparation. My daughter also bit in to the middle of a pepperoni pizza roll that was cold and slimy in the middle and has been vomiting since. I could barely eat one slice of pizza because of how greasy and overly cheesy it was… another person mentioned the cheese tasting like rubber. Above all else, the cleanliness needs a refresher. I was so disgusted by the lack of glove wearing and the staff touching multiple surfaces, that I didn’t even dare touch the salad and threw it away instead…. Not returning anytime soon, or ever...

I was really looking forward to trying buttercrust pizza based on all their positive reviews but unfortunately 2 out of the 3 things i ordered from them tonight were barely even edible.

The cheese bomb is excellent, no complaints there. It's soft buttery and full of cheese. Not much more you could ask for.

The pizza dough/crust was not buttery. And was more on the doughy rubbery side, basically like pizza hut on a bad night. The toppings were fresh veggies and good quality ricotta etc. (i got the Bianca square buttercrust). But the pesto basil sauce. Omg. I thought i was eating sauce made of grass and dandelions. It was pungent and horrible, and unfortunately was drizzled over the entire pizza. I did not taste any basil or flavor you would expect from traditional pesto. I think if not for that sauce, the pizza would have been okay. But i ended up having to throw away 3/4 off a $21 pizza pie, which was very disappointing.

The wings.. are dry, over baked, and might break your teeth if they reach room temperature. I also ordered 2 different flavors, and received a container of only one. The mango habanero is extremely sweet and has no heat or savory taste. We ate 2 wings and threw the remaining 10 in the garbage.

I bought $50 of food and $40 of it was thrown in the garbage, definitely a disappointment. I do not recommend this place for anything other than the...
