Stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday morning before 10. We got takeout as we were headed out of town but had to order there as no one was answering phones. We arrived just in time to avoid a long wait, but 30 people were in line when we left, mostly due to the slow counter service. They didn’t give us a number or anything or take our name, which seemed odd as servers wandered around yelling names out repeatedly. We got our food after 10 minutes and tried it in the car as soon as we drove off.

The biscuits and gravy was average. The pepper flavor was very strong…and this is coming from a guy who puts pepper in everything. It was room temperature, which made it less enjoyable. Maybe this is because they didn’t take our names, but we saw it come out of the kitchen so it didn’t seem delayed at all. The biscuits seemed hard and overcooked as opposed to the crunchy you get in a really good one. Had we eaten there we may have sent it back to be heated up.

We also got a Yeti sandwich. The chicken wasn’t anything special…thin breaded and could have come from a microwave. The honey butter wasn’t offset by anything (spice?) so the whole thing was overly sweet. The bacon was probably the best thing we had. It was also just warm.

We were excited by a 5-star reviewed place, but it didn’t live up to the hype. Maybe it...

I and my wife drove up from Ellijay, where we were visiting. We arrived around 10:20 am to no problem parking (at least on Sunday, before the rush.) We stood in line for 10 mins to place our order, this was no problem. After that, things went kinda sour. While standing (there were no tables available at that moment) we observed one of the cooks yelling "stay right here" at one of the food runners, demanding she stay at the food counter and only take certain orders.

We stood for approximately 20 mins before we were able to snag our own table. And then we waited... and waited... and waited... It took 52 MINS for our food to make it to our table. That's Food Service 101: once the order is placed, the clocks starts ticking. 52 MINS! Us and the parties directly before and after us were pretty pissed off once all received their food, one party asked for a refund and left.

Both food runners looked disheartened and overworked, as did the person who was taking orders [at the bar]. Despite that, they were hustling, but were ultimately at the mercy of the kitchen.

The food was great, though! I recommend the Yeti. The atmosphere is great as well. Historic Downtown Blue Ridge is cool.

I dunno if the service we received is normal, but if it is, don't arrive hungry! Or maybe, don't...

100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. This was such a disappointment. We drove 30 minutes to try this place and ended up returning all our food after trying a bite of everything we ordered.

It just straight up tastes like salt. We went on a sunday morning. The staff seem somewhat disenchanted with their jobs. My spouse asked for jam for the biscuit (overcooked and dry) and the waitress essentially just said, “it’s at the counter you can get it yourself” - not so much tip worthy at that point. And just plain rude.

Biscuit - overcooked and dry Scrambled eggs- SALT, not scrambled? Maple Sausage - Not terrible to be honest. Gravy - SALTY Tator Tots - SO SALTY I almost threw up, even by themselves with no toppings.

I had a stomach ache for half an hour after just trying one bite of everything before I returned it. We then went to Bojangles, ate a sausage biscuit with tots and I felt fine after. Not to mention Bojangles and Burger King were packed and this place had five tables full. It seems like the locals know what’s going on here too. Good luck, try it if you are...

We had seen mostly good reviews of this spot, though some recent negative ones but wanted to try it out ourselves. We ordered the Grassman and the Yeti and split them. The portion sizes are well worth the cost, and each sandwich was very large and filling. The flavor profile of the Grassman was great, with all of the ingredients (pesto, garlic mayo, goat cheese, caramelized onions, egg) complimenting each other well and very flavorful. The grilled chicken on the yeti was white meat but tasty with a good breading, the bacon was thick and delicious, and the hot honey was sweet with a subtle burn. The biscuits were thick but not dry or tough to choke down at all. Instead they were buttery and fluffy. We also split a coffee, which was good and strong. My wife had a mimosa and I had a bloody Mary. Both were solid. The service was good for a walkup to order / find a seat / someone brings it out / get your own drinks / etc setup but inherently not amazing. The people I did talk to and order from were friendly and the setting was pleasant.

I can’t rate the food yet because we’ve been waiting an hour for it. Quick to take my money, slow to deliver.* I recommend you don’t come hungry because you may wither away before the food arrives. *The food finally came! I think part of the slow delivery was the condescending cook staff who kept telling the runner to “STAY… RIGHT… HERE… everything gets messed up when you walk away so DON’T… MOVE.” This is despite numerous plates being up on the partition between the kitchen and the runners. The food was salty, which I happen to love. It’s rare I have a meal where I don’t add salt; I didn’t need to add any salt. The sausage had great flavor and the biscuits and gravy did, too, but there wasn’t enough gravy for all of the biscuits. The food was delicious but not worth the wait. We would have left if not for paying in advance and being incredibly hungry. Oh, and there was a hair in my gravy. 😕
