Nevaeh Cabin Rentals — Hotel in Blue Ridge

Let me begin by saying this is the first time I have ever given anything a bad review. I take all reviews I read with a grain of salt but please take heed of this one. This cabin is beautiful and secluded, everything you would want. We (me, my mom, my grandmother and my aunt) arrived to light music playing and everything seemed perfect. We got settled in ordered pizza and went to bed. We woke up the next morning to screams coming from downstairs, my mom and aunt were flipping out. There was a scorpion in their room. Ok, no problem, 1 bug (a bug that could bite you and cause serious pain but still a bug). Hey, we live in South Georgia, on a farm no less so we are no stranger to bugs, we have gnats, roaches, mice, love bugs and the list goes on. One scorpion freaked us out but we figured that it just got in somehow. We killed it and went about our day. That night we returned to the cabin and played some games, about midnight we started to get ready for bed and this is when everything went down hill and FAST!!! While my aunt was on the top floor brushing her teeth she looked down and there was a scorpion in the sink, the freak outs started again with my mom and grandmother scared to death! I go downstairs to talk to them and opened the book on the kitchen bar and a scorpion shot out of it. At this point we decided it wasn’t worth it. We immediately start packing up 4 women at 12:30 in the morning and let’s just say, scorpions clearly come out at night!!!!!! We were so scared to stay here that we worked our way back down the mountain in mist and HEAVY fog at 1:00 AM trying to find anywhere that had a room available, my husband was in S. GA calling every hotel he could to find us somewhere to sleep. Well, that was Kennesaw! We arrived at a hotel in Kennesaw at 2:45 AM, 4 women in their pajamas whose family girls trip was cut short by fear of sleeping with scorpions! However, as bad as this sounds keep reading to find out just how little the OWNERS of this cabin think of their renters. I called the rental company the following morning after we got up to explain the situation to them, they’re response was “yeah I know how you feel, I hate the little suckers too, I will talk to the owners about what we can do.” I explained we would appreciate at the bare minimum 1 nights stay returned to us, especially since we left 2 nights unused because we were afraid. TWO weeks later and after numerous emails, this was the response I received from the rental company on behalf of what the owners of this cabin said…

“My owners were not real good with me doing a discount due to the bug thing but I did explain that you were not unhappy with the cabin just those crazy creatures so they told me to give you a discount of $100.00” *copied and pasted from the email I received.

WOW really, THEY weren’t happy????? AWESOME way to show good character and customer service!!!!! Try your renters weren’t happy about sleeping with scorpions that CAN and WILL bite you, your renters weren’t happy with being so scared they had to drive all the way to Kennesaw GA to pay yet again to sleep somewhere else nor the fact their vacation was cut short and ended up having to come home from a vacation they had been planning for months!!!!! I would think that if they don’t care about their renters they most likely are not concerned with getting the scorpion problem fixed either. BEWARE...

Was very disappointed with the lack of the cabin being fully ready for it's guests arrival.

Issues: Cleaning Team should be fired Refrigerator was filthy and smelly along with food left from previous guests Restrooms had hair all over the floors from previous guests There are not enough towels to accommodate amount of guests based on reservation size not to mention paper products The management team should sort out, label and toss out the ridiculous amount of remotes in the cabin so you don't have to spend a 1/2 hour trying to figure out which goes to what Plus some if the TV's are non operable Signal goes out There should be more living room and game room chairs to accommodate guests in your party The jacuzzi was not very clean and it would not get hot enough Some of the doors in the house are extremely difficult to open (This is a problem for someone with arthritis or a disability) The maintenance team obviously does not conduct regular maintenance checks for normal operating items This is a vacation cabin. When guests book, it's exactly for that purpose. So if you plan on wanting to relax and enjoy your stay DO NOT BOOK this cabin. You will be expected to do chores, actually a long laundry list of chores down to stripping your own bed and taking them down to the laundry room before your departure That's just one of the many many to do's your expected to get done before you leave on your final day of stay

All in all ...this cabin is not worth the amount of money paid. There are many other locations that are much more accommodating and would be more...

Man! How can I start such a great review? I recently booked Nevaeh Cabins for a Mother/Daughter trip this past weekend. We booked the Lookout Lodge Cabin and boy were we looking out! LOL The cabin had a WONDERFUL view of the mountains. The decor of the cabin was gorgeous. The beds slept comfortably. All utensils and households supplies one could need was there! The Hot Tub was just right for a late night chat under the stars to have girl talk! Now, I know you may say. I'm sure there was something wrong with the cabin. The only thing that I could think to suggest would be the Sleeper Sofas. The one on the 3rd level is worn out and should def be replaced. Also, due to us arriving late we got lost! Although, Mary Jo and Linda (who are AMAZING) gave us paper directions, our directions from Walmart to the cabins were just a little off. (We used our GPS, this is a NO, NO) After 3 failed attempts to find the cabin and ending in dark dirt roads. We decided to call 911, who graciously guided us to our cabin via phone directions. (Crazy night, I know). Other than those two things our trip was perfect! The next day we enjoyed a relaxing Spa day at TeaTree's Massage and lunch at Serenity Cafe. I highly recommend booking Nevaeh Cabin Rentals 1. The staff is so helpful and truly amazing! Thanks Mary Jo and Linda! 2. Pricing is very reasonable for such amazing cabins!
