We were there for Memorial day weekend and the place was swamped!! We couldn't get in to any of the neighboring restaurants without a 2 hour + wait. We said, what the Hey, let's give it a try. We were greeted with a giant smile from the host and were told we could try to meander about and find a table either inside or out in the Beer Garten . Happily, as soon as we walked in, a table appeared and we hopped on it. I figured we would have a ridiculous wait before any server would ever have the chance to even say hello, no less offer us even a glass of water. On the CONTRARY...Daniel emerged on the scene with vibrance and excitement that WE were there. He, in all of the chaos, seemed to be electrified by the buzz of the scene, and enthusiastically began to list all of the local brews on tap. We placed our order, and again I had a vision of a 30 minute wait for our drinks, but yet again, surprise!! Within minutes of ordering them, they magically appeared!! After just a few minutes Daniel returned to us to take our order, and was thoroughly able to recite specific menu items even though the restaurant was at full capacity. He had tables inside and outside, and the smile and energy never left his expression. Then the food arrived...OMGAWD folks!!! Seriously the best best best burger I have had in forever!!! Hubs had the meatloaf Sammie. OK, another OMGAWD folks!! The place is a diamond, and you should DEFINITELY go out of your way to visit. They have a cool sort of "living room" with couch, recliners, chairs for that cozier feel. Servers/PEOPLE like Daniel just elevate our experiences in life, and so does the amazing food that came out of the Dogwood kitchen!!! I will return...
Read moreMy husband and I are Very fond of Black Sheep and entire staff including funny Lauren, Mike, Shane at Bar, Tosh our fave Hostess and our fun waiter Morgan. So when Brandon opened The Dogwood two doors down we were excited to try it. We were pleasantly surprised and happy Morgan was chosen for Managing his new place ….Congrats!. I found a seat outside while my husband checked the inside out and to his surprise his fave band Surrender Hill were performing and he quickly came and said we are inside. Having arrived at 5:30 on a Weds. it was perfect to have live music and food. Our very friendly waiter Danny! Was so nice and attentive with knowledge of the food offerings and drinks. He was spot on period on everything he did to serve his customers. We shared a veggie flatbread …delish, shared a meatloaf sandwich with tater tots, spinach Avocado Dip. All were delish. We ended staying until Surrender Hill ended their performance at 8pm. Brandon should be very happy with Morgan’s management as he was attentive to lending a hand as needed to get everyone served! So I’m guessing somewhere in the middle of these two properties someday that house will be another success story for Brandon only...
Read moreSo if you read the review from 3 years ago I was not impressed. And we didn't go back. So tonight we went back and it's now called The Dogwood and everything was just fantastic. Our server Jennifer was lovely and a real top-notch server. Thomas the manager came out and met us and greeted it's like we were old friends and I can't say enough nice things about him. Just as we're ready to leave the assistant manager Sarah came out to say hello and welcome us. So that covers the friendly part let me tell you about the food. The food was absolutely delicious I had fish tacos and my husband had a burger. The fish tacos were the best I've had any place. The food and wine were fairly and decently priced. This is a great place and it's new my new favorite weekend place to come. So if you read the review below please know it was from 3 years ago. Things change!!@ ####$$$$$$$######$$$$$$$$$ Our friend was charged $2 for rocks when she ordered vodka with ice on the side. She told the server he could either take it off the bill or she'd take it off his tip. The prices here are absolutely ridiculous for drinks and food and we're locals, so we know what it normal. Great for tourists with...
