My family and I have been to 11 escape rooms and have never been to one like this before. They were very disorganized and unfriendly. We also couldn't hear each other in the room because those next to us were very loud and the dividers were thin 3D printed walls. We had to ask three times for the first clue (after 10 minutes) before they responded. We asked a few other times for clues to move forward and they kept giving us the same information even though we explained we already had that answer. At one point there was a directional lock that we kept trying and reset several times because it wasn't opening. The guy running our game told us we "must not be doing it right" and provided the same code we had already solved. I finally had to walk out of the room to look for him because we asked for help several times and he never came to check the lock. He came in and was also unable to open the lock. With no explanation or apology he left the room. A minute later another guy threw the door open, opened the lock, and rudely walked out without saying a word like we were an inconvenience to him. At no time were we offered accomodations or added game time. We were so offended and frustrated at that point that we left in the middle...
Read moreComing from a veteran of 100+ escape rooms, their website is one of the worst I've experienced. It should be easy to go in, see what is available, see the rules for booking, and book your experience. That is not the case here.
The experience with the ownership of Escape Blue Ridge has been lackluster and their website is extremely lacking and misleading. Despite the website listing prices for 2-3 players, and despite the booking system giving the option for 2-3 players, you can not book online for two to three players. If you want to find out why, you'll have to contact them and be given an explanation that doesn't align with anything on their website.
If their website is updated to accurately reflect their business practices, I'll change my review. Until then, I can not advocate for anyone to give them business. There are a plethora of escape room experiences you can have in Chattanooga and Atlanta with great websites and business practices clearly stated on...
Read moreIf you are not sure if they will be afraid and participate do NOT buy tickets in advance. We booked ahead of time our tour and my nephew was afraid to and didn’t want to participate so my brother in law sat outside with him. I asked staff to please refund us the 2 tickets and they refused to even consider, stating that the website said they didn’t not have same day refunds. Mind you, we booked 2 escape rooms for a total of 11 guest and in truth, this wasn’t a same day cancellation, as the remaining 9 guests did participate. Not exactly a “family friendly” venue. If traveling with kids, consider other excursions or maybe not booking them ahead of time and perhaps paying for them when you arrive. During Wizard escape room, moderator voice was very muffled and difficult...
