It's no secret we love Chinese buffets. I've been to this one many times but it's been at least 10 years since my last visit. This time I took my son and my mom for Christmas lunch. Every bit as good as I remember and my son was all over the sushi! I think he only ate sushi and some dessert. I tried out the sushi and the other areas of the buffet. It was good. We were full after and the price was worth it. Thank you to all the staff who worked and will work on holidays going forward because we plan to make this a holiday tradition. I'm tired of spending all day cooking. I'd rather pay the staff here at Legend of Asia for doing what they clearly do so well. Of note: not one complaint about the sushi I had. My son clearly loved it. The tempura was good as well. The hot and sour soup, of which I am very fond, was nearly perfect. The right heat, the right sour, and the right amount of mushrooms. I didn't see chunks of tofu in it but maybe they were at the bottom and if not, well I love mushrooms and it was really good. I love their cream cheese lumpia and their crab Rangoon made like crispy dumplings were actually preferred by me as opposed to the traditional four point configuration. Deep fried perfectly, crispy, and you could see the crab and scallions inside. Oh and the crab salad on the sushi bar was stellar. I don't eat octopus (sentient beings) but my son and mother do, and they loved that dish as well. I love the variety of dishes they serve and the dessert was no exception. Read moreLots of options in the buffet but Mediocre food. Tonight we came in and they were busy but not packed. Our drink glasses were empty and I signal a waitress to please come help and she ignored me. When she was cleaning off the table next to us I said “excuse ma’am” she said what, I asked her if we could be please get refills and she started yelling to another server and glared at me. I said is this not your station and she said no, then angrily got us refills. We were finishing up our meal, dishes piled all over the table and agin our drinks are empty. After waiting 10/15 min for our ticket we got up and went to the cashier. We told them that we never saw our server and just want to pay and leave. We told them three buffets and he wanted our ticket. I told him we don’t have a ticket because we were never waited on. They rang us up and we paid and then left. We were in the parking lot when a woman comes out yelling at us that we did not pay. I told her we did pay and showed her the receipt she told me we did not pay enough. I asked her who’s fault is that and she instead we come back inside. We did, I was not happy to say the least. They then said you only paid for two because that is what you told us. I told them that we said three (three of us stood there) and their employees incompetence was not our problem. We never saw a server and now we are being chased down by employees. He put despite instructions seasoning which you don't want, making the plater too hot and spiced with seasonings you don't want. Servers are horrible. Some of them look very hostile by missing the smile and proficient communication.They are coming with the check and fortune cookie before you finish the meal. Servers are also tip themselves if you don't pay attention. Payment via card is recommended so the guest can determine amount of tip if deserved.Tip is reflecting quality of service and is not obligated if guest is not satisfied. I witnessed horse playing, bulling the coworker and being slow on table clean up between rounds. (See attached photo during the four different vizits !!!!) Playing Christmas music in month of June and August last year was inappropriate. I think that original Chinese instrumental music will improve in general cozy atmosphere.Staff manager on front desk and servers are yelling by communicating between themselves.I guess, they also making nasty comments about guests. If the servers are performing better job , this will be very desirable place to go. As conclusion Food quality does not match the quality of service. Service and food quality are in huge discrepancy.
